I'm just so sick of it all

I'm so tired of people getting ticked off b/c of women NIP. I was at a friend's house tonight at a bible study and of course dd needed to nurse. I start nursing her and i'm gettin' all worried wondering if the other women are embarrassed, offended, i'm trying to show as little as possible, etc. Then it occurred to me that the only people there were WOMEN! Seriously, when did bfing around only women cause other nursing mothers to want to run and hide? Good night people, we all have the same equipment, don't act like I just peed on the carpet I'm in a mood tonight and i'm sick of people correlating NIP w/ peeing/masturbating/pedophilia etc. Grow up already. Jerks!
BTW, none of the women said anything and one woman actually seemed impressed I was nursing. I was just surprised that even in a room full of women, I would still worry about nursing my baby.

I totally understand. When I was early in my pregnancy, I didn't even like to TALK about my breastfeeding. It's horrible how we are made to feel.

It is crazy, isn't it? I'm as pro NIP as one can get, and I've still had the doubts and questions and embarassment and fear run through my head. Nutso messed up society getting in our heads... :

Yep, exactly that. I might get just one glance and I read into it. I'll ask my hubs if he can see anything and get all worried...Gah! I wish I could just let it all hang out and it be ok!
