So , all these sites I find totally confuse me! The ones with great tutorials are not so great for me right now!

Tell me- can it really be so easy, that all I really have to do is thread the end through the rings and sew it down good? So that it fans out? I think I would like a fanned shoulder, but cannot find a good tutorial for one with a good picture.

Have you looked at Jan Andrea's? I believe her's fans. I've seen a really easy fanned one, but can't recall the sit now. If that's what you want, keep searching! Try youtube for videos. If not, it can be as easy as just threading the fabric threw the ring and sewing.

Yes, really, all you do is hem the 3 other sides if your fabric requires it, make some pleats, sew them down, and sew on the rings. I followed the directions at sleepingbaby.net

The only thing I'd also like to mention is that you must use rings meant for making slings for safety reasons. Try slingrings.com

HTH!

I like my homemade sling better than any of the 3 that I purchased!
