I cannot find locally any stores that carry metal slides to make an adjustable strap. I'm having to disect old bags and steal theirs! Where do you bag/purse makers get yours?

Check out JA's, Hancocks, Walmart or Hobby Lobby. All those places have bag sections with handles, clasp and such. I make bags alot.

None of those places have the metal sliders for adjustable handles, just d-rings and such to attach the handles.

Ive checked out every craft, department, big box, and fabric store in my city and cant find these either!!! Would love to know an online resource!

Have you tried u-handbag.com? I think they carry all those supplies.
