Picture book/thing?

My son loves looking at pictures of himself and family, but he's only 15mos. I want to make him something he can have pictures in (vinyl maybe?) and look at them, but without ripping them and destroying them. Anyone have any tutorial or know of one for something similar to this? TIA.

I have been contemplating the same thing. Have you seen those fabric cubes with clear plastic to act as a photo holder? I saw one at Kohl's in the baby dept. Anyway, my dd is not about to leave the pics in there so I was thinking I'd sew a fabric cube with picture windows made of that clear table covering plastic they have at Walmart and make a cube with the pics perm. inside. Or I could just go back to Kohl's, buy the silly thing and hand stitch the openings closed after I put the desired pics in.

For Christmas, for my 2 yo niece, I got a pocket photo book from Snapfish and included captions with the applicable family member's name. But she is not as hard on stuff as my dd. But the book did seem sturdier than just a print.

I saw some remnants of vinyl in the bin at Walmart last time I was there, I think I might get it. I'm not sure about if I'd make it into a book, or just make a covering for each picture and leave them loose. I'm worried about him getting saliva in through the seams and ruining the pictures. Maybe if I use that spill proof photopaper they'd last longer? I've also never sewn with vinyl or plastic.. do you just use regular threat and a regular needle? Hmm.. off to google.

There's a photo fabric that you can buy and print your pictures onto. That way he'll have a soft cloth picture book AND you can wash it.
