Weavers? I need a source-

My dd's class wants to start a weaving project. The teacher asked me (thinking if anyone knew, I would ) where they could find a weaving frame or loom (not sure of the correct term). So I thought I'd reach to my friends here and see if anyone has any recommendations.

Thanks!

We were just there last weekend. It is gorgeous and lots of fun.

They have kid looms and advanced, regular looms.

Where are you in NH?

I am in Southern NH in the Seacoast area. That looks like a really cool place to check out!

I have a degree in Art Edu. and when I did my student teaching we did a weaving project. For the frames we used sticks that were 1/4'' - 1/2'' in dia. They were bound together by yarn. My intention was to use natural materials for the weaving but, there was a concern for allergies. So we used yarn and rafia. I think that I have a picture somewhere....I found a picture. PM me if you are interested in seeing it.

You could also use canvas frames from a hobby store but they are more costly. The upside is that the weavings can be cut off and the frames can be used over and over.

Old picture frames are another option... wooden would work best because grooves need to be cut into the top and bottom pieces for the warp threads to stay put.
