Canadian Sewers - From what sites/sources you buy your fabric?

The title says it all. Where do you get your fabric? If you order it from a Canadian site, what's the url? If you order it from an American site, is it worth the extra charges?

I'd also be interested in stores in the Vancouver area. And maybe somebody else is curious about stores in another area

At the moment I'm looking for cute cottons and terrycloth to make baby wipes for my first project

I buy from everywhere! If you're just looking for woven cotton and terry, I'd actually advise you to go to a local fabric store or even Walmart's fabric section. I usually get my specialty fabric (sherpa, knits, velour, wool, etc.) from co-ops which tend to be run in the US. But my favourite online store has to be www.sewzannes.com - great service, even if the shipping tends to be ouchy. But you'd get that from any online store.

Oh, Oh you NEED to go to DRESSEW on Hastings and Cambie!!! I used to work there and my sis-in-law just got me a BOX of snaps for $30!! (that's an AWESOME deal!) It's a 2 storey sewer's heaven (as I remember from 1992)
I'm in the island so I don't get to the BIG city much.... I buy flannel and nylon for mama pads and polarfleece for ponchos and bibs. I want some Guatemalan fabrics to sew with..... I also tie dye alot so white cotton is good but I'm usually at fabricland on big sale days. I'd love to see good deals on the net for canada but....
