Log in and change your password asap, also change your email password. (change email password first) Run a complete scan on your pc.

It takes some time for the GM's to respond but they are really great once they do. When I was hacked I got back 98% of everything I lost, including gold.

I'm sorry this happened to you hun. I know how frustrating it is!

Still waiting

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Definitely follow the advice on these two threads, if you haven't already:

I have a question: How do I put questhelper on my toon? It was on there, but DP took it off for a bit because it was lagging bad. He is now working over the hill and far away, so I would really like to put itback on there. It really helped me.

When you log onto your account before you choose a character click on the addons button in the lower left corner and make sure it's turned on, if it is and still not showing once you're in game do /qh hide and it will pop up.

Are the new elites getting easier? Prior to WotLK I couldn't take down an elite my same level unless I had another person to help (at least to heal). But I just took out a level 72 elite on my own, and it wasn't hard at all. I'm not sure if I should jump for joy or be disappointed that the content is being made easier.

I think TBC and WotLK are both easier than the old world content. Ever try to fight Franklin the Friendly? He's a lvl 60 elite demon in Burning steppes. No problem for my lvl 70 epic geared hunter, right?
Yeah, I step lightly in Burning Steppes now.
I might try him at level 80 and see if I do any better.

I haven't looked through the thread yet, but are any of you on Thorium Brotherhood? I have a 62 orc shammy and had a 64 orc dk that I rerolled to human to play with a friend...I like the starting quests so much I want to reroll again I wish they'd allow players to have more dks!

Was that Kaw the Mammoth Hunter? I took him down yesterday myself at lvl 70 and it was pretty easy. Not sure if the mammoth I was riding or not made a huge difference (or my pet rhino when I got off the mammoth) but I was amazed how easily he went down. But it also isn't marked as a group quest. I wonder if he is mismarked as an elite?

I dinged 80 last night and hope to get started on heroics and the higher end instances tonight so I can get my gear up to start raiding again. I miss it!

There are a few of them like that but they're really easy. I've solo'd all the group quests thus far.

His weakness is scorpid sting according to thottbot, use that and he only hits for 1 dmg instead of 1k +

No. I did him before and he wasn't marked as an elite. So maybe they fixed it? It was Ned, Lord of the Rhinos. Killing him was just as easy as killing Lunchbox. I nearly killed Harold Lane myself too. Had him down to nearly dead when another mob jumped on me. I couldn't take out both.

ETA: Oops. Nevermind. Apparently Kaw is marked as elite. I did the entire quest on the mammoth and took him out easily so I must have just imagined he wasn't elite.

I took down the 72 gold named elite on that boat of the coast of the Isle of Spears, I forget his name. It took me a very long time to kill him as a holy pally, but I did finally get him. However, I cannot kill Durn the Hungerer who is only 67, I think, and I got my arse handed to me at level 75 trying to help someone kill Mogor in the Ring of Blood. He basically 3 shotted me, I think.

Sometimes named elites are harder than named hard elites and so on, but I don't think it's consistent anymore. I mean the silvers (or grays) are still easy, but just because someone has a name doesn't mean the elite will be a like an elite in a dungeon or on a quest line. And I know they've made a lot of the classic and first xpac bosses and mobs easier. I still remember how freaking hard it was to kill Hexx the vile priestess in the Hinterlands on Jinth'alor or wherever. I mean you had to have a group to kill your way to the top of all those elites, and then you'd get to her and she turn you into a frog and kill you. I was stealthing up there one day on my druid at level 60, gathering ghost mushrooms, and a pally asked me for help killing her. He was 56 and I was 60 and she was something like 55, I think, but wow, we wiped 4 or 5 times. I finally had to go in bear form and stay there so she couldn't turn me, and he was stunning her every chance she got, and I finally popped out and moonfire spammed her until she was dead, but it was really tough. She is way easy now.

But the 38 elite crocolisk in STV was always easy to kill, and he's not an elite anymore.

I'm happy to say I got *most* of my stuff back. Three of my four toons affected were restored. I got back gear, bags, and various personal bank/guild bank items.

One of my toons, my lvl 50 mage was left naked. I wasn't real concerned because she was leveled with the RAF bonus levels so her gear wasn't anything but stuff I put on her so she wasn't naked.

The primals all got sent back but not the enchanting mats.

I actually ended up with 500 gold on my toons that I didn't have before. I'd been sending all of my auction stuff to my hubbies account so I had 1600 gold on his account and maybe 200 on mine. I don't think it happens very often that these guys leave gold on a toon.

The person got me the "1000 gold looted" acheavement on my 70 druid but no xp at all. Perhaps from running Ramps or something.

I took everything I could sell off my toons and sent it to hubbies account for auction. All my saved mats and stuff. I sent him all the gold I had. I also demoted myself in the guild so I can't remove stuff from the Guild bank.

All till I get one of the keychain thingies. I hope to order three this week (if they are not sold out) for our accounts.

Well, thanks for listening everyone. I'm happy with the service from Blizzard but still unhappy it happened at all. And that it seems to happen a lot

FTR you only need 1 key for all your accts. We ordered 2 and set them up then read that. I've heard they only make a certain number at a time then once those are gone they're "sold out" until they make more

Okay, I'm officially confused. So, I can't use the crystal to get into Dalaran until I'm level 74, and then there's a quest. Right? But some things I'm reading are saying I can get a port to Dalaran at a lower level. Then I'm also reading that the port won't work unless I'm 74 as well, and is just to avoid the quest. So, which is it? Can I get a port to Dalaran before I'm level 74?
you get the quest offered to you in dragonblight when you are 74, but a mage can use the portal spell to let you go earlier, you can get the flight path and stuff if you are lower but the quest is exp and might be part of a chain anyway so good idea to go back and get it when youre 74 even if you go to dalaran earlier. imo.
