I'd encourage you to try it. I've found I really enjoy it.

Well, my DH doesn't play. Which is surprising. It seems like something he would be into, but he has never expressed any real interest. Maybe I should ask him...

I started playing to play with my oldest DS who is away at college. He has played for a few years and a few months ago he asked me if I wanted to play with him. It has been a great way for us to connect and stay close. And even though we don't get to play together all that much, it is something we can talk about and share together. It makes me the "cool mom" LOL

I must admit now though, that I really do enjoy playing. It is FUN! Like others have said though, I don't raid or do a lot of group quests, as I am never sure how long I will have. And I have always had as a motto "moderation in all things"

BTW, WoW is cheap entertainment. At least IMO. Instead of paying for a baby sitter and going out to dinner and a movie and everything else in order to spend time together, we can play together. We still go out once in awhile, but WoW has been a much cheaper substitution, especially given the current economy.

We also play with BIL who lives in Cali. Its about the only time we "see" him. He hasn't been home in years. So its nice to talk to him on a regular basis and just stay in touch like we do in-game.

That's the way I feel also, and it keeps me from doing many instances, but how many times have I been in an instance with teenagers whose parents make them get off the computer, and they just bail. So maybe I should do more instances and not worry about it. At least with PUGs, although my guild is pretty understanding anyway. But we aren't a hardcore guild.

One teen told me he'd log off in the middle of any instance or BG if his gf was up for sex. I think we are holding ourselves to too high of a standard!

DH and I both play, my brother and his wife play, my other brother plays, several real life people we know play and both of our kids (10 & 13) play a bit.

My brother and his wife are in NYC and I'm in OH, I love being able to talk to them almost daily with WoW... hanging out in game, chatting, grouping...

DH and I play a lot together.

I used to play everquest and it was the kind of game where you couldnt leave the screen, WoW is not like that. Yeah if you get up and walk away you might die, but you can rez and get back on with your business I walk away a lot, for kid stuff, for pet stuff, for whatever... I really love that that is an option for me rather than being stuck like other games.

Anyways my point here is if you're a newb try a hunter. They are easiest to solo, which I do a lot because with a group I tend to need to AFK a lot. Plus sometimes your pet will keep you alive when you have to do sudden AFK's Super easy solo class.

Personally I would recommend druid for a solo class. If you spec feral it's great. Plus then you can stealth as a cat, OR use Shadowmeld as Night Elf. I don't know what Tauren's offer though.

My guild started doing Naxx this week and so far we downed the spider boss. WOOT. I got a nice epic out of it too.

oh and I love how BOJ have been moved to miscellanous on the currency screen.

Ditto! I played EQ and the game dynamics are very different in that respect. In EQ you might have to camp a boss for hours, or even a day in advance to ensure your guild got the kill. And it was possible to un-level as well when you died. In WoW you even get experience bonuses for logging off, I thought that was a very cool idea! Nothing bad happens to you if you die, except perhaps a repair bill on your equipment.

EQ was FAR more addicting and had the possibility to be more addicting than WoW is.

I only recently starting doing the fishing dailies because until 3 weeks ago, my fishing skill was around 60. So, in the past two weeks, I've done the crocolisk daily twice.

You can fish in the pond in the forlorn cavern in Ironforge, right across the way from the fishing trainer.

When I was doing the quest that takes you into an empty Org it just *happened* to be the daily then. Oddly enough, it was back again the next day. But yes, it is still in rotation.

They DID change it so you could fish in IF, you never could prior to that. Not sure if it was changed in the expansion or at what point before, but I remember being irritated that I couldn't fish in there back in the skill-up days.

Well that was easy then. That's what I already have. I've had them for, what seems like, a while. Always looking for an upgrade. And I admit to still being very confused. Just when I thought I was getting the hang of what I needed it seems they've shaken things up a bit. So now I'm back to wandering aimlessly, not know in what order I need to look for stats.

Oh yeah, I hit level 80 a couple days ago. I am grinding for Kalu'ak (Walrus people) rep so I can get the pet penguin. I started in BT and was doing Kaskala (Alaska) supplies daily and Snowfall pups in Moa'ka harbor. I was told there was another in HF so I did a few quests to unlock the daily there.... On kamagua island... helping sea lions or walruses (whatever they are) mate... and let me just say, that was graphic! like nature channel. :

I can't wait til I get my pet penguin. :

I'm excited to get Akasha to 80, but I have yet to do a Northrend instance with her. Every time I do get into a group, they figure they can use a lvl 70 tank. Dude, he will NOT be able to hold aggro. Trust me. I can barely keep aggro off myself with my pet, let alone someone 7 levels lower than me. That being said, Rocketpop on Runetotem rocks as a tank. He's a couple levels lower but manages to keep aggro(except for the times when I have a brain fart and multishot )
The guild on Runetotem is starting to get pretty active. Starting to do guild runs and lots of chat. Got some real smart asses on there right DFB?

RP does indeed, rock as a tank. He is teh awesome!

I love that we are doing more as a guild! It's really cool the way we are working to help each other as well as getting to do so many things - I love doing all the instances that I've never done before!

My priest and lock have been converted to bank toons. I killed my hunter and warrior though. Just wasn't feeling anything for them.

My 5 yo son has a level 19 rogue named Liltater that we are working on twinking. Although he spent about an hour yesterday in Darkshire killing zombies, so he may be leveling up soon. He says now he doesn't want to twink. He has to "save the village from the zombies!" "Stitches is coming mom! Help me get him! Save the people!"

I made a small fortune on making red winter clothes yesterday. EVeryone is selling them for 25-39g. I listed mine for 19g and they sell out as fast as I make and list them. Only problem is, I'm out of runecloth and now some "nice" people are listing it at 20g or more a stack. Bums! Small eggs were going for 5 g EACH, so I went and farmed a lot of them and listed them for the normal price. They sold out really quick. I think I made close to 500g yesterday.

I really want the red winter hat. Where is the best place to go for one? We tried Old Durn last night but it wasn't there.

I hate them too. LOL

If you are alliance, a great place to get eggs is in westfall. Most low level birds drop small eggs. I know theres some orange winged things outside of silvermoon (horde side) that drop the eggs.
