Any experience with Social Security Breastfeeding Discrimination? - Page 2

Honestly, I'd ask for the "rule" in writing. "I wasn't aware of such a rule--I feel like I'm being discriminated against because I'm breastfeeding--which is against the law--please show me where this rule exists in writing and I will abide by it."

There's no way such a rule exists--so they are going to have to accommodate you (I'm not certain--but it sounds so wrong).

I'd also ask that they waive your copay or whatever it costs you to go in a second time--because they weren't respectful of your first visit. AND I'd see if I could find a different doctor. AND I'd complain to the office manager. AND I'd complain to SS. AND I'd notify my local LLL.

I'm sorry this happened to you.

Exactly.

(sigh)

They just sent me another appointment with "NO CHILDREN" highlighted in yellow. My mom is going to come with me and hold DD during the appt.

There's a reason many of our nation's homeless people are homeless because of untreated mental disorders.:
