He's here!!!!
At 9:04 thursday morning Cedar Tillman Murray joined our lives.
:
I last logged on an update 1/24 a little before 5am. After turning the computer off I decided to wake up DH. Not long after that we spoke with the midwife. My contractions were 2 minutes apart lasting 35 seconds but I didn't think they were unbareable. I was able to sway through them with DH pressing on my back and thought "well this would make a long day, but I've got time" HA! A little before 8 I threw up and thought "I read this is what happens in transition" Transition! We still have an hour drive to the midwife. Time to go...
I got in the car thinking sit...in the car....yeah right! By the time we drove the 10 miles of bumpy dirt road I had to push, still 40 minutes to the MW. Thank goodness DH secretly thinks he's a racecar driver!
We arrived at the midwifes, hobbled inside, and he was born about 5 minutes later. What a wild morning!!!
This is our first and wow what an amazing experience! He's healthy, strong, and so peaceful.
I feel for all the mama's still waiting. Hang in there. It's such a great lesson in patience and it will soon be your turn too.
love to you all and happy birthing....
Katie
