How Often Do You Use Rescue Remedy?

I was using Rescue Remedy on a need-it-now basis but my massage therapist told me she uses it in her water 3-4 times a day to keep her in an even keel.

How do you use Rescue Remedy?

Rescue Remedy is one of many homeopathic remedies created by Dr. Edward Bach in the 1930s. It is probably the most popular of his remedies and is available in health food stores and online.

I've been using it regularly for the last 10 days to help me stay on the "I'm really quitting smoking for real this time" wagon. Normally, it's a PMS remedy for me. Right now, I use it several times a day. Hasn't seemed to hurt me any... I'm slowly weaning off of it a bit, I don't want to become immune to the effect, but it has been the only thing that has kept me from going completely insane.

Thanks. I'm so utterly disgusted with myself that I've kept falling off the wagon... But today is 11 days and I seem to be over that "I want to kill something" hump. The RR pastilles are what has helped the most. It gives me something to chew on.

If you need it you can put it in a bottle of water and sip it throughout the course of the day. Since you are trying to quit smoking you may want to think about adding agrimony to the mix.

You can take it as often as you need it.

OK, so can I ask, am I the only person who feels no effect from RR? I've tried the little spray a bunch of times when the kids have my head spinning and I'm starting to feel crazy, and I don't feel any different. Is a tincture more effective or something? Or maybe I do need a daily level? Or am I just using it wrong? Because I would really like it to work

I think I just posted to your other thread....

It is a fabulous blend, but you need to cater to what you need in the moment. I gave you some suggestions to look in to.

Maybe twice a month fo rme or my kids.

Melissel -- I would think the tincture to be much more effective (I don't have the spray though). I put a dozen or so drops right under my tongue and I notice a difference immediately.

I also like the pastilles. And dd likes the tin

Since it's an energy medicine the amount is irrelevant. One drop is the same (in terms of efficacy) as 30. The spray is just as effective as the tincture. That's why you can take it in a glass of water or straight up and get the same effect even though it's far more diluted in water. IT is also just as effective trasdermally and can be used on pulse points. Honestly-I think you just need different flowers!

I find using more when I need more gets the Rescue Remedy into my system quicker and gives me an almost instantaneous calm.

I like the spray because it fits nicely in my purse and can be used in a pinch.

If they made it in a patch, I would wear it all day long. :

Hey, some days I'd wear it all day long too!

Did you know you can have your own personal blend of Rescue Remedy made to suit your particular needs?

I am going to do this. The more I think about it the more it makes sense to me.

Using it more frequently is different than using more by volume. Which are you talking about?

If it's the latter I'd guess it's more psychological (which is fine too!) It's like homeopathy...taking 3 pellets of arnica doesn't do less than taking 33. It works the same way. However taking 3 pellets every 15 minutes will have a very different effect.

Taking 3 drops of RR (or 3 sprays) every 15 minutes will create a bigger shift...but drinking half the bottle at once won't do more except get more alcohol in you!

Regardless, do what works for you. Relief is relief.

Just to be clear-what you are blending is flower essences. Rescue remedy is a specific blend of 5 Bach essences. There are 38 in total. Your custom blend will not be rescue remedy, though it will act in a very similar way.

I've been meaning to try RR. You all would recommend it, then?

I know what you mean. I'd still call my custom blend Jen's Rescue Remedy because that's what it does for me.
