birthing in a hot tub

ok, im wondering about what you have to do to a hot tub after birthing in it?

we kept a fish net nearby for any chunks (i don't know if there were any) MW just drained and rinsed it out. Not messy at all!! I would suggest not using the jets though, because gunk can get sucked into them then you would want to refill with clean water and run them for a while to flush them out.

thanks! last time we birthed at a birth center so i wasnt sure what they did to tehir birthing tub.

do you have to fill it while in labor or do the chemicals take care of any bacteria, etc. you'd be concerned about?

I have a birth pool but we also have a hot tub. The HT would be so much easier and I love the idea of being outside.
