Do you have any other children? If so, what are their names? How old are they? Are they excited to have a baby on the way?

I have a daughter named Athena Claire who is almost 3 months old. She has no idea that the baby is on the way.

I have four children: two girls age 8 and 4 and two boys age 6 and 17 months. I haven't even told their dad that we're pg yet, so they don't know!!!

I have two girls, 3.5 and almost 2....and we're not tellin gthem yet - it would be too far away for them to understand.

I have one son who is 26 months. We did tell him there was a baby in mama's belly, but I don't think he gets it.

We have five other children. Hannah and Hailey, our identical girls, are 6, C.J., our definite middle son, will be 5 in a few weeks, and Anthony and Jamie, our boy/girl twins, will be 3 in March.

We have not told them yet because we are not ready for everyone to know and I don't think they could keep it a secret for long. I'm sure my older girls are going to be ecstatic! They're at that perfect "I love babies" age.

I'm excited to let everyone know, even though I'm not quite 5 weeks! I'm so excited to be part of the DDC too!

We just told my older kids tonight - and the rest of my immediate family. But the older kids don't really seem to care about anything other than naming it and wanting to know if it's a boy or a girl. I'm sure they'll get used to the idea. Oh - and one of my girls said, "Who's going to teach you?" because I teach childbirth classes. She seemed confused when I told her I was going to teach myself.

We have 7 other children ages 1 to 17. We told them immediately, because we knew they'd all be thrilled which they were. My dh got everyone in the living room and told them to count off from oldest to youngest, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and then he pointed to my tummy and said 8! They just looked for a minute, and then the oldest two girls(14 & 17) said with super happy faces.. you mean you're going to have a baby?? Everyone of our kids LOVE babies, and they're all really close to one another.

DS is 3.5 and DD is 14 mo. DD has no clue. DS seems excited, but he's got a long way to wait

I have three wonderful children, Hadassah who is 5, Ethan is 3 and Hannah is 2. We haven't told them yet, but I know Hadassah will be thrilled. The other two probably won't care much until the baby actually gets here.

This will be my fourth. We have an 8 year old girl and 3 year old boy now. Our middle child Meg died in May 07 and was almost 5. It's rather emotional being pregnant with it all so fresh still.

We hope to have a total of 5 eventually. (counting Meg)

My kids already know. My DD is a smartie and she knew what the test was somehow. They're both very excited which is such a relief!

I'm so sorry for your loss. If it's not too intrusive, may I ask how she died? I totally understand if you don't want to share, but I figure we're all going to get to know each other pretty well over the next 8 months.

Of course. She actually had a genetic disorder and was sick a lot of her life. She died from aspiration pneumonia a week after we moved to Colorado. I don't mind talking about it at all but naturally, it's upsetting and as hormonal and I am right now... I was actually just thinking about starting a pregnancy after loss type thread but I'm never sure if that's helpful or not.

You could start it if it's helpful for you and those who want to participate will. Thanks for sharing. I can't imagine suffering a loss like that. Just like you can't imagine having two at once. We each have our own trials and I haven't met anyone yet who would be willing to trade.
