I've had this "feeling" that my new baby is peanut sensitive since before he was born. I was averse to peanut butter during the pg (in my other 2 pg's peanut butter was a favorite) and my intuition told me at the time it was b/c the baby was sensitive to peanuts. I kinda dismissed it b/c if I ever did have peanut butter it gave me terrible heartburn so I decided that was probably why I didn't want to eat it.
After the baby was born, if I was making a pb&j for my older kids I would have the thought "I need to wash my hands before I pick up the baby" and I've worried that if I was eating pb&j myself that I might transfer peanut butter to him somehow.
We've been struggling a little with gassiness and I'm pretty sure he's sensitive to something in my diet. I had a pb&j last night and we had one of the worst nights yet, so I'm wondering if my intuition was correct and he *is* sensitive to peanuts.
Is this a legitimate conclusion? What do I need to do to safeguard him?
Thanks
