And she has a name
Olivia Iona was born by c-sec on Thursday 1/24 and weighed a whopping 7lbs 15 oz (almost a lb bigger than our first and 2 lbs bigger than our last 2 babies!).
We came home on Sat evening after a fairly quick and nice hospital stay. We found that by your 4th baby the nurses figure you know what you are doing and left us alone. We were the only non first time parents one day and the nurses actually flipped a coin to see who would get us
.
I thank all of you who thought of me as I struggled with the decision to go for the repeat. At least we know the reason I never had any cervical changes or signs of labor. Olivia was completely transverse with her face wedged into my left hip bone (she has a bruise on her forehead). When they made the cut to my uterus, her right arm came out and she waved at everyone! They actually had to use a vacuum to get her out.
She is my easiest and best nurser by far and my milk has come in strong so she is very happy. I will try to get some pictures posted soon, good luck to those waiting and welcome to all the new babies!
