Fisher & Paykel Washer Experience?

I am in washing machine purgatory.
Bought a frontloader whirlpool sport that I can't stand- it's loud and vibrates to the point of scaring my children.
I can take it back and exchange at the store where I purchased it.
I care about quiet and energy efficiency and not a super long cycle.
Anyone have the fisher and paykel top loader? It has a high spin and I am wondering if this is loud/vibraty.
Any opinions will be appreciated, thanks!

Have it. Love it. Yes, the final spin sounds like a jet about to take off - but a muffled jet. It's a distinctive noise, but not scary : My laundry room shares a common wall with my office, and the sound isn't distracting, even when I'm on the phone.

They clean very well, are very efficent, but they are noisy during the spin. I've had mine 4 yrs and not one problem Its in my basement, I wouln'dt want its noisy self on main level.
