how to clean walls naturally?

i am having a big ole cleaning day, and am happily using natural cleaning concoctions of my own for the first time, and am loving it! i am noticing that my walls are quite dirty, with i don't know what all over them, but i have a two year old boy, so it's not surprising. it's not crayon or anything, just dirt/dusty type marks. how can i clean the walls effectively, naturally, and without stripping any paint??

any tips?

Honestly, I think for just dust and dirt, a warm damp cloth works pretty well and it shouldn't damage the paint at all. Dr. Bromner's castile soap would probably work pretty well if it's really well diluted. It's fairly mild and you can get lots of different smells

I have found the best wall cleaner from the book on non-toxic cleaning: "Clean House Clean Planet" by Karen Logan. Water, Dr. Bronner's Soap, and baking soda...takes off marks, cleans and brightens. I loaned the book to my SIL so, as I remember, you just make a paste with the soap and baking soda and add water as you need it--for really deep cleaning, use it stronger. This book was pretty good. Another great book that was a little more comprehensive and featured different kind of non-toxic products (in addition to cleaning products) is "Better Basics for the Home: Simple Solutions for Less Toxic Living". ditto the Dr Bronners!! I am always amazed by that stuff. Whenever I get the urge to wipe handprints off a wall or trim, I use a microterry cloth and DB soap. Like a dream!
