Please help me convince DH

..I'm not pregnant yet. I recentlysuffered a miscarriage and I just want to get back on board. I am wanting to homebirth and DH is very skeptical about it. He is very on board with all my natural living ideas and is reading a Bradley book right now . But he is unsure about birthing at home in case something should happen and we're unable to a hospital in time. I've used the women have been birthing like this for millenia upon millenia, and even at the hospital, something could go wrong that the midwife/ presiding ob won't be able to catch. But I just can't convince the man. Any ideas of what I can say to him??
Thanks

My husband and I started with an ob/gyn on the typical hospital birth path, but at 3 months into our pregnancy, we started learning about homebirth. my husband was convinced mainly by the facts and data supporting the safety of homebirth and the ways that it helps labor progress in a better way.

He is such an advocate now that he put together a great blog post about why we chose a homebirth - some of these points might help convince your husband too:

Best of luck and hope you get the homebirth you want to have! Sara

Get him to agree to meet with a homebirth midwife or two. Once we'd done an interview or two, my DH was at last understanding of the plan (maybe not overly thrilled, but he quite objecting). HB midwives usually have plenty of experience with skeptical DP's! In our case, having a competent and professional MW answer our questions and outline her emergency equipment, procedures, etc. was enough to convince him that HB wasn't dangerous or anything.

Thanks for your input ladies. Sara, I had him read it and he thought it was pretty interesting. He says that he needs to talk to the HB midwife before making any decisions, but I know he'll come around

Thanks again
