Need idea for preschool group project...

Our art auction is coming up for my child's preschool and we want to do a group art project to sell in the auction....

The only thing I could think of is a quilt but I've never done a quilt before.

Are there any other ideas for a group project that the kids could do? Last year they did a stepping stone.

All the other ideas I've had are individual projects....sigh.

(these are 0-3 year old kids btw - so not much in the way of fine motor skills!)

A wooden rocking chair with their handprints painted onto it. It was a huge hit at our school auction and an unfinished chair can be purchased for little money.

I recently saw a cool "quilt" product at JoAnn Fabrics. It was a pre-assembled quilt that has blank pannels and comes with special crayons to color on fabric. I've never tried one of these before, but it looked kinda cool. They were marketing them for birthday parties and other special events as a sort of memory quilt. I think it would work for what you want to do too though. Sorry I can't remember how much $$ the quilts were...check it out and good luck!

That quilt sounds great! It would be cute to have each child draw a picture of themselves! My dd's preschool does that and prints them onto t-shirts and their little self-portraits are hysterical - soooo precious and adorable!
