Take Back The Media asks 9/11 questions

This is a flash presentation showing in a split screen, the sequence of events of 9/11/01: Mr. Bush going to the elementary school he visited that morning, and the events as they unfold in NYC.

If you are very sensitive about the visual images of 9/11/01 in NYC...well, please use your best judgement to decide whether to watch this or not. I was awestruck that I still have many strong feelings that came up- kinda freaky to watch.

Survivors of those who perished that day deserve real answers, as do all Americans. We all suffered loss that day really...and look where we are now.

One more thing...this flash takes at least 5 minutes to load...Probably took longer for my dinosaur of a computer.

Was worth it in my opinion...Joyce in the mts.

Wow, that was tough. For those who can't do the visuals, the same timeline information in article form is availible in several different articles at the crisis papers

Thanks for spreading a little truth, Joyce. I always get a lot out of your posts in this forum.

Man, that was very, very powerful. I love that Mozart piece and always have, but now it has new meaning for me.
It's weird, I was thinking about 9/11 last night...out of the blue. It just seems very odd to me that he sat there and did nothing. Makes one wonder if he did nothing on purpose, KWIM? It sure made me patriotic for a good year or so, until I started figuring out what was really going on.
I actually put a US flag sticker on my car! It's gone now, BTW

Wow. That was really upsetting to watch. When Bush was running for election I thought he was too stupid to be president. Now I, unfortunatley, have changed that assessment. I truly believe him to be evil

EXCELLENT!!! And yes,

When Bush was running for election I thought he was too stupid to be president. Now I, unfortunatley, have changed that assessment. I truly believe him to be evil.

I also thought of him more like Austin Powers Dr. Evil.......You know kind of a stupid evil. But, yes he is truly EEEEEEVILLLL!! Not at all intelligent. He surrounds himself intelligent, evil folks. It is a scary, sad, state of affairs.......

I lost one of my dearest friends on 911. As time has passed, the rawness of the loss has not gotten much easier.

I have a recurring dream of her in which she tells me she didn't die, that it was a mistake. I feel really happy that it's not true that she died in the WTC. We usually go off and do something like shop and I get around to asking, "Then, where have you been?"

I wake up.

I wonder if I dream this so often because I can't accept that she died this way, in a country that is supposed to be so well defended & have the best intelligence. Or, if it is my friend telling me that she hasn't accepted it either.

There is some thing that went very wrong that day, and it wasn't just Al Queda.

newmomlearning I'm so sorry for your loss. It's hard enough for me to see those images and I wasn't even personally touched by this horrible disaster.

But, NM, WHY did he sit there in that classroom for so long? Why did he not give orders or commands during those attacks?
Sensationalism or not, it's a very good question.
Ah yes, the evil part. When he was running I told people he was evil and no one listened, well some, but after 9/11 it went away because of fear. I know 2 people who were connected to this day and it is heart wrenching. Now about the selfish reasons, I believe the invasion into certain countries were motivated by selfish reasons and that 9/11 was the excuse he used. I find it tragic.

newmomlearning I am also sorry about your loss.

You know, NM, I agree with you -- it embodies the same type of manipulation of people's emotions as the flag-waving, rah-rah USA, "patriotic" crap that's been spewed out since 9/11. I don't like it in either case.

But I do think there is an important point under all the melodrama...what Bush and his handlers did that day does not ring true. We'll probably never get the answers, but we should ask the questions and our elected representatives and their staffs owe us honest answers.

A possible reason

What's in it for GWB for all those innocent Americans to die? Well, for one thing, approximately 50% of Americans did NOT vote for him. Half the country did not support him. And notice, the terrorists attacked so early in the morning that the majority of the 50,000 people working there were still on their way - witnessing what almost happened to them. Ditto their loved ones, it ALMOST happened, and it COULD happen. This breeds enough fear and desperation to unite all Americans against the evil doers. Why would terrorists be so kind as to hijack the first flights out of the airport and not wait til 9 when they could REALLY show the USA how they felt? Because (one possible reason), GWB did not NEED that many to die. Just some, and the threat that it could have been YOU.

Absolutely sickening. It is unfathomable that our intelligence agencies did not know. I actually had my own head in the sand over this until this month, I can't stand the idea that such evil exists.

My company had it's NYC headquarters in the 23-24th floors of WTC2. No one died, everyone who was in there got out. One employee was on Flight 11, though.

Just had to add my 2 cents. I am not one for conspiracy theories under normal circumstances. This is just not normal - at least for me.

For anyone wondering why I am utterly and totally convinced that SOMETHING was covered up, check out this link. And decide for yourselves.

PS Lost 658 colleagues in the WTC. May they rest in peace.

Lest we forget too soon:
From ABC news, Nightline, March '03:
http://abcnews.go.com/sections/night...ac_030310.html

Snip<

“…Project for the New American Century, or PNAC, was founded in 1997. Among its supporters were three Republican former officials who were sitting out the Democratic presidency of Bill Clinton: Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney and Paul Wolfowitz.

Snip<

And in a report just before the 2000 election that would bring Bush to power, the group predicted that the shift would come about slowly, unless there were "some catastrophic and catalyzing event, like a new Pearl Harbor." That event came on Sept. 11, 2001.”

(JITM NOTES: Well, that worked out pretty well for them, didn't it? What luck!?)

Conspiracy? Naaaaah...Joyce in the mts.

Nursing Mother,

What I said was that the terrorists could have killed closer to 50,000 had they struck at say, 9:45 rather than 8:45 AM. Then I said GWB et al didn't NEED to kill that many, they only needed to put the fear of terrorists into everyone's hearts (I could have been there, my friends could have been there, etc). Sorry to rephrase my own post, but apparently it wasn't too clear.

And FWIW, I'm not trying to convince anyone of a conspiracy. I'm just thinking for myself and reading what others think.

what are some explanations into what happened to the Boeing...or ideas????

This article is long, but it worth a read. I firmly believe that Bush sat there in the classroom for a half an hour while our country was being attacked because he KNEW it was a planned attack. I firmly believe this was a planned attack by our own gov't. Sad isn't it?

Read this article! It is a bit long, but it is mind boggling to think that our own gov't that spouts off things about maintaining our freedom, protecting our freedom from terrorists would do this to us. The real terrorists is our very own gov't.

How many of you have actually heard of the "Homeland Security" before 9/11? I never did. Everyone I have asked have never heard of it before the attacks in Sept. 01. Well guess what? Homeland Security has been around for quite some time. Yrs. in fact. The attacks were merely a means to an end. So incredibily sad that SO MANY people became the victims of something so brutal, and so evil. I do believe Bush is evil. He spoke of bringing those "Evil Doers" to justice......well if he really believes in what he spouts from his mouth to the public...then he should be the first one standing in line. Are you ready? Here is the article. Get a cup of tea and settle in for an interesting read!!! I actually posted this article in another thread...I thought it pertained to the subject there as well.
