Talking to the wrong person
My 14lber fell down a toilet while I was begging for an enema because the last time my cervix was checked, I had an anterior lip and had been told not to push, but I needed to poo. (At this point everyone who's ever given birth rolls their eyes, but what can I say? I was young and inexperienced.) Head crowned, then the shoulders, then the waters broke and we dropped him down the toilet, then we caught him, then everything was fine. THEN the midwives took a second look and realised that we were actually holding what looked like a typical 3-month-old
and again, being young and inexperienced, we had no idea what they meant. Oh, and both his head and chest were smaller than both his younger brothers. Babies come as they're meant to, and your job is to get back in touch with that inner faith in your body
