How many sheet sets per bed???

We have a queen, the twins share a full, and my oldest is in a twin bed.

Twins diapers leak sometimes, and sometimes they take them off and pee on the bed (it has a mattress cover)...so thiers needs changed the most often, we currently have 3 fitted sheets for thier bed, since they dont use the flat top sheet yet, just individual blankets.

Oldest DS bed doesnt need changed but once every 2 weeks since he never sleeps in it....it gets changed more often if he has a bloody nose, which he tends to get a few times a week...but he hardly sleeps in his own bed. He has 1 sheet set currently

Our bed gets changed once a week or there abouts depending on my energy level. More often if one of the twins sleeps with us, and makes a mess. Im assuming it will need it more often with the new baby coming, and diaper leaks, and breastmilk leaks and such. We currently have 2 sheet sets for our bed.

So is that enough? How many more should get for each?

Sounds like what you have works well for you! Maybe an additional bottom sheet for your own bed?

We have 2 sets for our bed and a few extra pillowcases (we have some serious droolers in the family bed ). We are just getting DD a new bed now and I ordered her 2 sets of sheets.

Some people do ok with one set, but I'd rather have a clean set on hand if someone gets sick at night, etc.

I find that while breastfeeding, I tend to change our sheets more often (especially the bottom sheet). Although, this time I might lay a burp cloth or prefold out under the area where we'll be nursing...

We have three sets for each bed. Probably too many, but I prefer to have extras.

We currently have one set per bed. I told dh that one of my goals in February is to buy a new set for each bed. I want to have two per bed so I can strip the bed and immediately make it again and wash the others. I often get sidetracked between washer/dryer/bedtime.

We have two sets for our bed. DS has two sets for his twin bed (though only b/c his has a trundle for when the g'parents come). DD has one set. Lots of random crib sheets for the baby.

One of the things on my list to buy are extra waterproof mattress pads and extra sheet sets. I would like to have two per bed.

It often takes me a day or so to get them washed.....with kids, I dont have the time sometimes to get it done...LOL

Amazon has thier pike street flannel sheet sets on sale right now for 6.99...So I am thinking I will get another set for each bed

We have two sets for each. I like having one clean while one is in the wash.

We just had a bout of stomach flu here. Two weeks ago I would have said 2 was fine. Now I'm thinking 3 or 4. Especially for the double bed where two kids are sleeping. If you hit a "bad" night you could easily go through 3 sets. Whatever you decide make sure you have a back up plan. I ended up using double sheets and twin beds. It worked until the twin sheets were clean again.

we have 2 sets for each bed. one flannel set for the fall/winter time and a cotton set for when its warmer. and about a dozen pillowcases as i like to change those every other night.
my dc still sleep with me and i wash our sheets about every week. dh has his own bed and I end up washing those about 10 days.

lilgsmommy ~ i'ld get atleast another set for your bed. i had 3-4 for our 'big' bed when my dc were under 2years and it seemed like i was always changing the bed. I also kept a bigger prefold on the side I was nursing though the night.

Wow! that sounds like a lot of sheets. I have LOTS of different kinds of sheets of various sizes. I discovered how many lately when all 3 of my kids got sick within a few days of each other. But, I'm not sure any two match and could constitute a "set"----- LOL

We have at least 2 sets per bed...most we have 3. Which is truly handy for sickness, leaks & any other unforeseen happening. I too get sidetracked & w/o the extras I am not sure our beds would be made

We have two for our bed and one pretty/nice set for each of the kids' beds. We have a couple of odds and ends sets that came in handy recently when our little one puked in her bed and ours. By the end, we'd just laid a top sheet down over our bed. Kids don't care and neither did we.

We have 4 sets per bed. (1 king, 3 twin).

2 cotton for summer and 2 flannel for winter.

I have 1 official set per bed (dd's room a queen, and a king family bed)

And a small stock pile that I've collected over the years.

2 king flats (great for forts and sleep overs, but also perfect for back-ups for either a king or queen bed)

1 full set - used for camping, the bottom sheet keeps the sleeping pads together and the top sheet is for Dh that sleeps so warm.

1 twin for picnics. I keep this in my car.

I just pared down to 3 for the family bed (double and queen together) and two for the kids beds, since they never sleep in them (and twin sets are easier to find second hand if the need to have 3 sets arise). I mostly want three in case of accidents and since we hang everything to dry, so it may be a couple of days between dirty and clean sheets. I recently got rid of two garbage bags of sheets we weren't using!

I would say that 2 is good, and 3 is great (since they don't take up that much room). I just got a great deal on sheets and a comforter for my ds's new twin bed, so I bought 2 sets of sheets.

I like to have 3 sets of sheets per bed- generally 2 sets that are "nice" and a third "backup set" that may be older or not as comfortable. Since I currently have 4 twin sized beds in my house, plus an extra twin mattress stored under DS' bed for company, I don't have 5 "backup sheets"- I have 6 really nice cotton sheet sets (for me and the girls) plus about 6 poly/cotton sheets- to use on DS' bed and the spare bed and as extras for the other beds.

I figure on having enough sheets so that you take the sheets off the bed and put on a fresh set, then wash the first set. I can't always rely on taking off sheets, washing them, and putting the same set back on- this was especially true when I had little kids who napped. Then I like to have one extra set in case somebody pees, pukes, or spills something on the sheets right after I've changed them, and before the first set got washed.

We have far too many... time to clean them out and freecycle!!!

I think 2 should be the minimum. 3 is good and 4 is great.

One of the last times that dd2 was sick, she got sick on all the sets of sheets we had for twin size bed. We didn't even had time to wash any of them.

Right now, each older girls has 2 sets of sheets for their bed. DD3 has about 3 and a few more bottom sheet for her crib mattress. That's because at one point, i had all three of them on crib mattresses. For my bed, queen size, i have about 3 sets plus 2 really nice for visitors sets. The 3 regular sets are used between 2 beds right now.
