could an electric blanket that's plugged in but not turned on cause a miscarriage?

I miscarried a couple of months ago at 7 weeks. I started spotting the afternoon after I slept under an electric blanket which was plugged in but not turned on (I was sleeping at someone else's house). I've read that electric blankets can cause miscarriages, and, well, I keep wondering if it's possible that this caused my miscarriage. I realize there are many things that can cause a miscarriage, and obviously there is no way to know for sure, but I'd like to know if it's possible that the electric blanket could have caused it.

I'm sorry for your miscarriage. It wasn't anything you did, and I'm sorry for the loss of your baby.

The blanket didn't cause it any more then the stars did.

peace and healing.

A prolonged rise in your body temp (103F x 3d) could cause problems for a pregnancy early on. But something like one night under an electric blanket, even where it turned on, would probably have no impact at all. Love and luck to you, mama. Please don't blame yourself for this.
