you know that you knit and crochet too much ...

when it is the first thing that you think about after injuring your hand.
I was in a car wreck this morning - it was the other person's fault and I am ok except for aches and pains - and I put my right arm up and the air bag hit it and I guess there is some nerve damage.
I thought I was ok, but when I had to sign the accident report I realized that my right middle finger was numb. It was really strange. And the first thing I thought was "oh no, now I can't knit and crochet!".
Anyway I saw a chiropractor this evening who tortured - I mean massaged my arm and hand and fingers (it really did hurt) and he said that would help it get better. It is no longer numb but it still feels a little different.

I understand the aches and pains. I jammed my hand into the steering wheel durring my accident and I could not believe all the things that were more difficult to do, including knitting.

Hope you are back at it soon and glad you injuries were not more serious.

How about when a fellow online knitter's house gets robbed, and everyone posts to say, "Oh, how terrible! They didn't get your Addi's, did they?"

Oh man...Last year I left my knitting bag (looks like a "purse") in the car while we browsed an RV lot. We came back to find my bag gone...window broken. I was sooooo sad. Not because my wallet was in there (it was, but I have LifeLock, so...whatever), but because my size 7 Addi's were gone!

OP, sorry to hear about the accident! Take care, hope you're feeling better and knitting and crocheting again soon!

Sorry about your lost needles, too, to the previous poster with the purse-bag... Maybe you should find an ugly bag that isn't so alluring to takers...
