What do you keep in your car?

We got a car organizer for Christmas, and it's great! Lots of pouches of all sizes on the sides, and one big container in the middle (that can be partitioned into thirds if we like). Actually, if you want to see a pic of it, here ya go:

But here's our problem. Other than bottled water, snacks and wipes, we're not sure what would be the best stuff to store in it. We already have a first-aid kit in the truck, so that's not needed.

What do you keep in your car, or would if you had the room for it?

We have something similar, but it holds pens, chapstick, small notepad, comb, lotion, etc.

Notebook, pen and disposable camera. Came in handy when someone drove into the back of me.

We also have a first aid kit, basic tool kit, alcohol hand gel and spare asthma inhalers, small amount of change for parking.

DHs kites live in the car because you never know when you might need to fly a kite

The snacks/drinks, spare clothes, wipes etc all live in my bag rather than the car. I tend to forget things in the car and either they go out of date or I forget to replace them.

Oh my ...

lets see - toys, Aquadoodle drawing pads, sand toys for the park, hand cleanser gel, tissues. Plus all the miscellaneous stuff- random socks, cups, etc.

Not much: reuseable grocery bags, gum, sunglasses, a container of water, trail mix, a pen, DVDs, jumper cables, and emergency money.

I keep a Rubbermaid type tub (small one) with stuff that I consider my emergency kit. It has clothing change for everyone, several bottles of water, some granola bars, extra diapers and wipes, and small first aid kit.

Other things in my van... there is a nice collection of crushed Goldfish crackers on the floor

Up in the front, I have my sunglasses, small pad of paper and pen, kleenex, sunscreen, chapstick...I think probably some tampons in the glove box. My van is a mess, but it's way to cold to clean it and vacuum it out.

In the cargo area I have:
1. plastic bags that need to go in the recycling at the grocery
2. canvas bags for shopping
3. double stroller
4. 1 extra set of clothes for each child
5. safety kit for weather
6. sling and ergo

Under each kids seat I have a plastic bin with:
1. wet wipes
2. tissues
3. magna doodle thing
4. small toy that each one likes
5. blanket for cold days

I also put their coats in these buckets when I strap them in, then the blankets go over them in their car seats

In the glove compartment I have:
1. cd's
2. first aid kit
3. car manual and papers
4. change container
5. tissues
6. wipes
7. chapstick

In the hidden floor compartment I have
1. sunscreen
2. sunhats
3. umbrellas
4. couple towels
5. car wipe things to clean windows and dash, etc.

I did a major overhaul of our car several months ago and it has been so nice. When my twins get here, they will each have a basket by their seats with vital things, also.
