kathywiehl, it's nice to have someone else who really gets how stressful the logistics are!
Doing it on a Friday is a great idea. As you said, that would up the odds that at least I'd go into labor when dh was home if I didn't go into it right away, and having him home would be a HUGE worry off my shoulders.
zulupelz, I get exactly what you're saying; I'm concerned about that too - that if it doesn't work that the pressure will be on to use other less "natural" methods. I can't imagine my doc suggesting anything like that since she knows how strongly I feel, but I would definately have a LONG conversation about it before agreeing to the cervical massage.

But I have long labours so I was able to work something out within the 21 hours preceding our daughters grand arrival.
: although he came out 4 pushes after an episiotomy, he was 9lbs 10oz and posterior. I feared my younger son would have the same problem but I was a lot too enthusiastic trying to get him out and tore my episiotomy scar. he was not posterior and was 8lbs 10oz. this lil girlie is not posterior and I'm trying to avoid the epidural (got it with the first two) in order to avoid tearing again because it was AWFUL healing from the tear.
