so were you trying or was it a suprise?

We had just stopped TTA. The first freaking month and we got pregnant. I am still dumbfounded at how quickly it happened for us. I spent 10 years trying to get pregnant before my ds. I had to have surgery in order to get pregnant with him. I guess the surgery fixed everything!

So, it was planned, but suprising how quickly it happened!

We were trying but it was still a bit of a surprise. Our timing was way off this month but I must have ovulated late. It's funny, this was our last month of trying until June to avoid giving birth in the winter. DS was also conceived during our last month of trying.

We were trying and we just KNEW we had good timing this month. We DTD 2 days before O, I swear if my husband even looks at me when I'm ovulating I get pregnant.

This was our first cycle TTC and we got it on the first try! So, we weren't completely suprised, but we were definitely shocked that it happened so easily and so quickly!

I had been charting since last April so I knew my body inside out. We decided to TTC for a girl, and got our timing *almost* right. My OPK lied, so long story short, we DTD only 1 day before O and BAM - BFP! We're still crossing our fingers for a girl, but a boy will be just as sweet!

I think DH thought it would take longer - he wasn't fully prepared for it to happen so quickly. I think part of me knew that it worked and then the BFP was just a confirmation of what I already knew! Strange how that happens...

Me too. Except my DH was not surprised because he already knew as well. In fact, so did my sister, who called me at 7DPO and said she woke up that morning and just knew I was pregnant.

so funny so many of us are in the same boat.
we planned to TTC in jan. and here we are!

I got pregnant our 2nd cycle trying. Like many of you, that's shocking to me because it took a loooong time and fertility drugs in the past. Yay!

We also were planning to break until summer to avoid having another winter baby. We have Nov and Dec right now and that's enough mixed with Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

I'm due within a few days of my grandpas birthday so that would be ok.

So yes, both. Trying but shocked that it came so easily.

Yes.

We figured it would take three-six months, so we just stopped trying to avoid this month, and only had one really good shot due to teething and stuff with DH's work. What a pleasant surprise!

I actually feel a little bit guilty with how easy both conceptions have been.

Well, count me in the camp of not trying to avoid but surprised it happened so quickly. I'm almost certain my fertility had just returned this month, and though we weren't avoiding pregnancy we were both a little surprised it happened so quickly. I was getting the urge for another baby but thought it might take a few more months at least. I had a 4yr gap of infertility between our 2nd and 3rd, and I typically only ovulate about 4 times a year.

Well, I have been trying like crazy since July 1st. This was my 8th cycle. We were also going to take a break until July after this cycle. My other 2 took 4 and 1 cycles respectively.
But as I was constantly reminded by my RE, I am "so old" now!

We had been trying for 12 cycles, charting, temping and OPK's. We took the Fertell tests 3 months ago, and husbands test came back abnormal. I was devastated! We decided to keep trying and if it didn't happen cycle 12, we were going to see a specialist. I'm so happy we didn't need to!!

I'm glad you were able to conceive without the help of a specialist! Happy and healthy 9 months to you!

We were trying for about two months. My son was a complete surprised (we had just started dating and used protection)! After that, we've always planned for three. I'm as excited with this one as I was from the first pregnancy. It is my fourth counting the m/c.

trying...and trying....and trying....

We got the IUD out in December and I think I had a chemical pregnancy right away (we had sex the day before I got it out and it was around mid-cycle). So technically I got pregnant before my first full cycle. But this pregnancy happened our first full cycle. I really expected it to take a while like the rest of you because this was my first "planned" pregnancy. My others were all pleasantly-welcomed oops babies.

So oddly enough (with all the kids we already have) , we were planning this one (for once!)

A total surprise. Dh was totally happy with 3 and honestly so was I but there was times that I wanted just one more but I've gone back to school during the evenings and I also have ulcerative colitis (Inflammator Bowel Disease) which at times gets the best of me so I decided that it would be best to stick with my 3 beautiful boys....but I guess someone else had others plans ....lol I just hope My ulcerative Colitis doesn't get too bad....Praying for a healthy and sane pregnancy! :-)

We were supposed to be TTA! However, we got a little carried away during my fertile time. I conceived DS on the first cycle TTC. This was the first time sperm has had any access during my fertile time since then (over four years ago!) and sure enough....
