This baby was totally planned! I love reading in this thread because I can hear the excitement DP and I decided months ago to have a baby but initially we planned on waiting until May 08 b/c we would be done with our huge move and settled in a few months, we'd be married, the older kids settled, etc.

Then in Dec I started feeling really pg and wondering, but we knew it was a total longshot since DP was already up here working and the last time we'd DTD was during my period. But I felt totally pg. And my period was 3 days late. I'd felt pg and not been pg 2x befor though so... Anyways, AF finally showed up the day after Christmas. I was so very sad. And I told DP I didn't really want to wait until May anymore. And he told me he didn't want to wait either, and that he'd just been going with May since that's what I decided was sensible!

So we decided to try in Feb, which would be my first cycle after our big move. Well we drove up here while my AF was visiting (1000 miles with AF... joy). Then proceeded to sit around and wait on our moving truck to get here and my O day.

They arrived the same day hah! So we unloaded the entire moving truck (with help from friends thankfully) and at the end of the day put the kids to bed and dragged ourselves to bed to BD. And apparently that one shot we got amidst all the cleaning, house prep, unpacking the moving truck, etc. did it b/c 10DPO I got my BFP!!!

I was so very, very excited. I didn't belive it at first and racked up 5 BFPs and kept temping until I got my 18 high temps DP is so excited too, he keeps telling random people at work that he's gonna be a daddy This will be his first baby and he's ecstatic. This is my first planned baby and that was so very much fun. I enjoyed having the months to work on my nutrition, and I charted for many cycles before our TTC cycle. And I'm so very thrilled to be here. I feel so blessed

we were TTC. had my IUD removed in december, and my first cycle was majorly jacked up - no AF for 6 weeks, no sign of O'ing. my 2nd cycle was textbook - it was SO obvious when i O'd. we are thrilled and blessed to have conceived both children on the 2nd try, and october is just my favorite month ever!!

We weren't trying but weren't preventing either. We had planned to start actively trying in April, but never made it that far! I was getting pretty antsy anyway, and we're both totally thrilled.

^Us, too. Since DD was just born in July, I wasn't really regular yet. But we wanted our kids close together, so we thought that whatever would happen would be great.

we were trying, I am a surrogate.
We hit the egg on our first Round of insems! Yippeee!

We were TTA (it must have broke!) but we are more than okay with our little surprise. It took a little getting used to the idea, but we are both totally excited - it is our first child. We were thinking about trying in a year or two, so we are just a little bit ahead of schedule.

We were trying so hard! We stopped using BC back in October but didn't REALLY start trying until December. I used an OPK in December and thought for sure we would have a BFP in January. It didn't happen then, and we were so disappointed. We are both really impatient people, and we wanted it to happen RIGHT THEN! It happened in early February, on our second REAL try with an OPK, so here I am! And I am SO VERY HAPPY to be here!!!

A little bit of both for me. I hadnt yet gotten AF and was hoping for Feb/March conception and then for some reason just decided to test and it was positive!!! It was a wonderful slightly earlier than planned surprise

This is pretty much us. Though I guess we were still kind of trying to avoid... but not very hard, if you know what I mean. We meant to start trying in April, but, well, didn't make it that far either!

We succeeded on our first month of not TTA also. It is so suprising to me (not so much to DH) because I had completely convinced myself that I was going to have fertility issues. I know I have one blocked tube, and was worried that the other one might be too. I am so excited!

Not planned at all. DH is still not happy, but you know, it takes two. . . We weren't on bc though so I was hoping it would happen. Now to make sure this bean sticks because Dh might not let another *oops* happen!

We'd been TTC for ten cycles, but this still managed to be a surprise. Everything was exactly the same as every other cycle--same PMS symptoms, skin breaking out, cramps, spotting, everything. I was absolutely certain that AF was coming, but then I checked the calendar and realised I was actually a day late (I'm NEVER a day late!) and tested and it was positive.

We were so sure that something was wrong that I actually had a referral appointment with an RE scheduled for May, which I haven't cancelled yet, since I'm feeling superstitious. I think 5 weeks is too early to cancel it, because there's still so much uncertainty at 5 weeks. Anything could happen.

Anyway, we were TTC, but I was still completely caught off guard by the BFP.

We were not not trying. I sort of hoped we would have a bit more time so that I could get my body back just a little more since DD was born 12/06 and things are still a bit squishy and saggy. Oh well. A baby is better than the body! There's always time for that later. We are very excited!

We were very much trying - I m/c'd in December, let one cycle pass, and then we were ready to go. I'll be setting up my first appt with our midwife this week to check everything out. Since the m/c, she wants to be extra cautious during the first trimester. I'm okay with that.

Happy surprise! We have 3 kidlets, ages 7,6, and 3 1/2. I was happy with our family dynamic but after #3, DH and I both weren't settled on making any permanent decisions on birth control. So for the past 3 1/2 years we have used nfp to ~not~ get pg. But I guess this month, our timing was off. All of us are really excited, especially the kids, about having a new little bean to love

We were definitely trying. I had a miscarriage in November, and I really didn't want to wait around with an empty womb, it was making me sad. I got pregnant on my second normal cycle after the mc. Thank goodness, too, since all my friends seem to have newborns or huge pregnant bellies, and it was making me insane to be around them.

Almost the same here... like 3 of my friends found out they were pg in the past couple of months and since i was already wanting to be pg again, it just killed me lol!!!

We were TTC. I went off BC in May 07, and we planned on starting to try mid to end of summer. Well, I didn't get a period until August- and that was progesteron induced. After that I had very random cycles- 24 day (annovulatory); 37 days; 35 days and then a 63 day annovulatory.

So this cycle I decided to use preseed and just hope that I O'd. Shortly after my temps confirmed O Dh said he wanted to pray- put his hand on my belly and prayed for our LO. That was @ 5 DPO and the next day I had my implantation dip. He was so incredibly positive the WHOLE cycle. He just knew it was going to be our time, even the times that I struggled to be upbeat... he just knew.

So here we are with the Squint @ 5 wks 1 day!
