Good morning! Just wanted to start a new thread for February. I can not believe we are here already!

School has been cancelled here due to an ice storm (good day to go into labor) so, I am going back to bed!

Oh, and this is my post, so I wanted to celebrate here!

I was coming to start the YAY IT'S FEBRUARY thread, but I'm glad someone got their 1000th with that thread

So... HOLY MOLY, IT'S FEBRUARY.

I know I'm not due for weeks yet, but I think today is the day we're going to get the room ready. I mean, it's FEBRUARY.

I'm freaking out a little in a happy way.

Had my 39 week appt yesterday afternoon. The baby has moved a little bit closer to my back, ugh, but whatever. Been having uncomfortable contrax off and on, not enough to keep me awake last night but definitely noticeable. Feel like something is going on but still trying not to read too much into it. Definitely doing the whole get as much sleep as possible before labor thing, sleepy all the time! Just realized that ds is turning 4 a week from Sunday. Time is going to fast!

I can't believe it! Although I did dissapoint my in-laws who wanted a Jan baby.. (sorry but tough!) So off to Feb it is! I am due the 19th so I think there is a good chance I will be birthing in Feb.. I guess I could be a March if it overcooks...

I am getting so excited and my list of things to do is shrinking!

Congrats mom2-3! I just hit the 1000 mark this week too!

I was hoping to wake up in labor last night and have a baby this morning but nope... I guess I'll just keep being patient.

My official dd is the 3rd so anytime is good for me at this point. I'll be okay with going over a ways, but I'll have to change my phone message and not answer. People are driving me crazy already!!!:

Linda, it sure sounds like your in laws are all around a piece of work! I'm so very thankful for decent in-laws!!!

Yep, I'm officially a Feb (surro)mama now!! This whole pregnancy I really thought he would be born on the 2nd (edd was 1/28) so hopefully something will start tonight. I just love being right

Yes or just start answering the phone with "No, there's no baby yet!" I haven't been getting annoying calls as much (probably because it's not actually my baby) but my poor IM (the baby's mom) has been getting them daily since 37 weeks and now at 40w4d she is about to pull her hair out! One because it's annoying enough to keep getting reminded that we're still waiting and also because every time it rings she gets excited that it's me saying I'm in labor! Poor lady, I'm afraid she might pass out as soon as she sees my # so up on caller id, lol!

Happy Feb to all! I have had some days with strong ctx and a lot of cramping here and there this week, so I did wonder if there was any chance I would end up with a Jan baby, but here we are in Feb, and I am happy to still be here!
Although I can't wait to be holding this little one, each night of good sleep that I get is just so nice. I keep waking up and thinking..."that felt good! Was it my last one for a while?"

Now that we are all in Feb, I bet the babies will keep rolling in, big time!
Yea for all the little ones!

Yay! We made it!

I had some contractions last night and an I just say that I LOVE these contractions compared to the horrible back labor I had with DS!! I actually said that to DH in the midst of one yesterday because even though it hurt I was freaking out or writhing or anything

Ironically I had the most ctx while watching Birth as we know it (midwife let me borrow hers) I had about 4 during the film :P

Today we are going to get the bare minimums for our birth kit because DH fixed BILs computer and he gave us $100 so we have a little money left over after paying electric to get some stuff

I just can't believe February is here! HOLY CRAP it's FEBRUARY!! Wow wow wow! Things have already been getting exciting around here, but it seems that (like inthe other DDC's) once the month hits it's like babies Babies BABIES everywhere!

I'm due a week from Sunday. And while I haven't been getting phone calls (my fam guesses it will be late - except my brother wanted a birthday buddy onJan 28th), everyone at work seems to think it's going to be RIGHT NOW! One woman always tells me to not have the baby in her office. heh. I had been preparing them for a later than due date birth, but they're all hopped up. People love babies around here! It's funny, though, some people are floored when I tell them that my midwife (not telling all about the hb until afterward) is not rushing it along, so there will be no induction. People just can't seem to imagine going that route. But we shall see...

So, when do we start daily threads?

It's so fun that now we're getting into people's due dates! But now I feel like I can't miss checking in for a day because I could miss babies being born!

I went to do a postpartum checkup yesterday, and got to hold a two day old peanut. It felt so good, and got me really excited to hold my own! We just finished our new bedroom, and had our new bed delivered, so I can't wait to labor in my new sanctuary! And now that our bedroom is on the first floor, and the kids are upstairs, I have an excuse not to get up if they wake in the middle of the night. I told dh that with this SPD, there is no way I'm making that trek after just waking! He needs to get used to it anyway, because I won't do it after the baby is born for sure!

i love seeing who has had their babies! and i like that mine is still inside for now. i'm a little grumpy today... poor dd is getting the brunt of it.

i finally got my etsy shop open! hurray! what a time to start being a wahm huh?

so we've had a boy's name picked since before we got pregnant (cash mccullah) and i just found out last night that johnny cash's birthday is the 26th, which is 2 days before my due date. how weird would that be?
Are we going to do daily check ins? I've seen on other ddcs that once you hit the due date month there's a daily thread since so much can happen in one day.
Helllllllooo all!!! Wow, I really thought this baby would be born in January...
I have two due dates, Monday and Thursday...I'm hoping for Monday b/c my mom is coming for two weeks on Monday and i would love to have all that time to myself with the new little one!

Glad that I got through ds's third birthday on Wednesday, and he doesn't have to share it with this little baby, in fact it's nice that they will have seperate months!

Good luck to everyone!!

the elyse, I am so excited that you are selling those cubes! Once I find out if this little one is a boy or girl I think I am going to be ordering one, they are so cute!

Tomorrow is my due date. I do not feel like anything is happening for me either. I keep joking to my DH that I will go into labor during the superbowl. He says that's ok, they have a TV in the birthing room:! He is just kidding though.

Sarah4639, congrats on 1000 to you too!!

Well, if we didn't have freezing rain today I just might be up for a nice long walk, but I don't think that is going to happen. I really just want to have a nice weekend with our kids, play some games, we are taking DD out to dinner tomorrow. Her birthday is 2/7 and she will be 12, so we are going to celebrate early just in case!

Have a great day, I am sure I will be checking in here all day, I just can't help myself!

elyse, I love your shop! I rally like the pink and brown one and if we have a little girl I might just have to grab it! Do they have bells or anyhting in them? I remember reading your other thread that you had that idea but it didn't say so I'm assuming not. They really are nice! Good luck!

mom2-3, I was thinking about going into labor during the Super bowl too! We aren't doing anything, actually there's a baby shower for a cousin that afternoon but I don't want to go! My DH is a big football fan so I know he'll want to watch but I doubt he'd be terribly upset! I love your DH's response!

I say, yes, let's go ahead with daily threads, can't hurt right?

applecore, I saw a newborn when I was 36 weeks and I could physically feel my hormones go crazy! I got flushed and excited and all kinds of worked up!! How did you manage holding a newborn at this point in time!?! I can't believe you are still attending births too. I would be SO exausted! I quit attending (as a doula) at 20 weeks mostly because I as doing hospital births and needed to distance myself from that before my homebirth. (Young moms, rarely treated well, not the kinds of births most the women on here will have!!)

February. I can't believe the time has gone by this fast. I'm almost ready, I feel like there is still a lot I need to get done around the house before she comes, but i'm just too tired to do anything most of the time and my feet swell so much now... ugh.

I'm 37 weeks today, 3 more weeks until the dd! I wonder if I will go early? I've had no signs whatsoever.

It is February, I think I might be in shock! I still have lots to do, painting rooms and buying furniture, I have a promise from my Bro that he'll have the rooms finished by next week. But meanwhile I am just enjoying these last few weeks of baby moving in my belly. I also can't wait to see who s/he looks like, how big s/he is, I can't wait to BF. Sigh.... on the other side, we all have colds, and there is a threat of stomach flu going round, so let it all happen now and not 3 weeks from now!!!! Elyse, beautiful cubes! Happy 1000 ladies!

Greetings all! Just thought I'd pop in from baby-moon land for a quick, "Hi."

Things are going beatifully - I had so much healing from my birth experience, I'm truly having a "babymoon" this time, breastfeeding is going well, and I'm already back in my one size bigger than pre-pregnancy jeans. Hope things continue well for everyone!

Where are all the February-mamas-who-gave-birth-in-January, anyhow? Has everyone defected, or ????

I'm literally wearing earplugs because the baby blues have hit with full force. I want to kill DH, gag DD, and people keep on asking questions to which they already know the answer/ it doesn't matter anyway. Bah. Oh, and FIL's carer had the bad taste to walk in on us without knocking this morning.

s Helen - hope it passes soon.
