How much progesterone cream do I use?

I have low progesterone and my doctor thinks that is why I haven't ovulated (or had a postpartum AF yet and ds is 2 yrs).

I bought some cream (brand: Premenstral Menopausal Solutions). Anyway..does anyone know how much to use and what days and all that? Trying to balance out the progesterone levels and gain fertility.

TIA

Progesterone will not cause you to ovulate. Low progesterone levels will make it difficult for an embryo to emplant for pregnancy to be established or maintained. When a progesterone deficiency is suspsected or diagnosed and supplements are recommended, they are used AFTER ovulation has occurred to support the uterine lining during the luteal phase in the hopes of providing a healthy uterine environment for an embryo. OTC progesterone creams can help, but usually if a doc is saying that you need progesterone support, they'll Rx some form of progesterone (e.g., Prometrium, Provera, PIO).

If you've been breastfeeding for two years and have still not had a ppaf, you could have lactational amenorrhea which could be related to low estrogen levels. It's not clear from your post whether or not you are still breastfeeding, but if you've stopped and AF still has not returned, I'd talk to your doc about perhaps checking your cd3 hormone levels.

Try the johnleemd.com website, I think they have info on the top tabs about dosage...

Lots of good info, too!

Yes, I am still breastfeeding my 2 year old. Maybe when we can afford it I will have another hormone level test done. Right now I'm taking Maca

and doing oil pulling

I was kind of hoping that would help. And we've recently gone to an all raw diet.

But still...nothing. :
