What Do Healthy Teeth Look Like Anyway??

I was terrified my 3 yo had early tooth decay because there seemed to be a lot of chalkyish spots on his teeth. The dentist said his teeth looked great. I have terrible teeth and am afraid my kids will too so I'm a bit obsessed. When I look up "cavities" online all I get is horrible pictures of major cavities.

I guess what I'm asking is: what is considered normal and what should I be looking for?
