Yay! I'm not officially CTA until AF rolls through so I can begin... So I guess I'll check back in sometime around the 12th!

you have to go to "sharing" (on the left side of fertility friend) then click on "home page set up" and copy and paste the URL for your chart - it will look like this http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1abc23. any time you use a url that says index.php or module.php it will take anyone who is logged into the fertility friend to their own chart.

Hi ladies! I've been lurking for a couple of months now. I figured it was time to join you! I don't know exactly how long we've been avoiding. Officially for 3 months, but unofficially for quite a while before that. My youngest is 32 months old. I've had 3 early miscarriages. Two in '06, and one in '07. I didn't want to get pg any of the those times, but dh wasn't on board with TTA at all, it's kinda complicated. I was finally able to talk DH into avoiding until I get some health issues resolved.

So far I'm only half-heartedly writing things down. Just avoiding any fertile patches like the plague. I'm a little confused on method. I have TCOYF which I started reading. I also have Honoring Our Cycles (it's a companion to Nourishing Traditions.) My SIL uses the Creighton method. She said that her instructor told her the only sign you need to observe is cervical fluid. That cervical position and temp are just too inaccurate. I tried temping for a month, but I never get up at the same time or sleep for a solid stretch. DD still nurses a lot at night. When she told me it wasn't necessary, I quit trying to make it work.

So, I guess the question is: does anyone use the Creighton Method? Or do you all want to talk me into temping again? Also, how many of you took classes? Do you think it was really helpful for you? I think I can read my fertility really well and since I have NO desire to get pg, I'm super conservative and careful. I just didn't know if I should take a class....

AF should be here between the 8th and the 10th. I'm resolving here and now to start writing things down! Keep me accountable ok?

Anyway, sorry to ramble on, it's nice to join all of you!

Um, good morning...I erased what I had written because it didn't make sense over here on page #2. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday.

Hi ladies! Can I join in too? I've been charting to avoid since January 07, making it 13 cycles now that I've been charting.

Just wanted to say that I'm still here. Thanks for the new thread, Augustine!

Do you find that your cervical fluid has been consistent and obvious? Just wondering b/c I've seen some women say they got pg, but didn't notice any CM. I think it could work without temping and all that, but if you are absolutely opposed to getting pg. I'm not sure what to suggest or if I'd go on CM alone. I'm CTA, but an accident wouldn't be a big deal right now, so I can't say what I'd be doing if we were REALLY TTA, you know?

Cfiddlinmama -- I'd ask the same thing as chisub... is your CM obvious? Mine isn't at all. I have never had that much CM and I almost never have EWCM. For some reason I just don't. My most fertile CM is watery. So I feel like I can barely count on CM as a fertility sign... I just start abstaining/using protection when it gets at all fertile (which is what you're supposed to do anyway) but I can only ever confirm O if I temp. Otherwise I would have a very broad range of days to guess from, yk? That's the only reason to temp, is to confirm O. It's pretty nice to be able to see that spike it temp for a couple days and say, OK, it's happened! I love it. Although this month my temps are SOOOOOO weird and rocky and inconsistant. I don't know what's going on, other than that I've been a little sick. Normally they are very normal and steady. Have you ever used Fertility Friend? You could only temp sporadically or just record CM... I don't know... maybe that would help you stay with it. If I actually had to write something down and keep it, I never would because my kids would steal the paper and pen, or I'd forget. But I'm on the computer a lot, so it's easy to use FF. GL!!!

I've been driving my hubby nuts since the one of the first things I have to do when I get up is to get on FF and record my temps. LOL

Same here. I go on a few times a day just to admire my charts.

I just noticed something cool in my ovulation pattern. I get ovulation pain every month and have been marking when it occurs and I just noticed, checking back in my charts, I get it in the afternoon the day before ovulation every. single. time. I had been assumimg it was a little more random. Sooo I should ovulate tomorrow. Woohoo another predictable sign.

THANKS!!!

Let's try it now. :

I just don't understand what's going on with my temps. I'm only on PP cycle #2, is it possible that I'm just not ovulating?

so far it does look anovulatory, silverspook. What was going on on CD 17? Did you temp a lot later than normal? Sleep under heavy covers?

I'm also having a really weird cycle. Really rocky temps. Check out my chart in my siggy. The only way I can explain it is that I've been kind of sick.

I think it is very possible you are not ovulating. After my 2nd kid I started my cycles when she was approx 4 mo ol but I don't think I was ovulatory for several cycles possibly up to 12 if I remember right. I was charting the whole time so I am pretty certain.

I think I actually ovulated yesterday! I wasn't sure last month since I started charting mid-cycle and there was such a gradual increase & decrease--heck, even FF couldn't even figure me out! LOL I'm so geeked to see my body working like it's supposed to!
