that makes perfect sense since men need to consume about 30% than women to make their sperm but Ooohhhh Goooosh. My husband's gonna love hearing that one
I do take CLO currently and flax--I alternate days b/c of the chance of becoming allergic to an omega 3 source. I also have really pale skin so I get more vit d from the sun than alot of people do...i think.

You might want to get your vitamin D level checked. Even with taking 1 Tbsp. of Blue Ice (high vitamin CLO) every day for a long time, my D levels were at the low end of the normal range. If you're deficient you may need to heavily supplement for a while. JMO.

you may be right. my fnp suggested we do a test for that, along with alot of others. I am bfing alot lately and I still only take 1T. I just tend to bruise really easily if I take more. How much is safe to take at one time in one day?

From what I've read (and maybe someone else could correct/clarify) it's safe to take 1 Tbsp. of the Blue Ice for a short period of time. I went by the WAPF guidelines.

From what I understand primitive people took in 50,000iu of A and 4-5,000 iu of D a day. I think Dr. Ron Schmid recommends 1T a day of HVCLO to almost everyone (did I hear that from Uccomama?).

I take 5,300 iu of D a day in CLO and Carlson D3 since I was deficient. I will probably add a little more after the baby is born. Check out the Vitamin D Council for more info...or google "Hollis and vitamin D".

I think my pancake craving has passed. I made an awesome cheesecake over the weekend, and that took care of the issue, I think.

I looked at the grain-free gourmet book online. It looks like a really cool book. I am going to see if I can find it at Barnes and Noble next time I get there.

Wow, I see we're all having very appropriate conversations for Valentine's Day! Lol.

So I tried the Sea Tangle seaweed noodles and they were SOOO yummy. That totally took care of my pasta cravings. I'm going to order more. I NEED to order more, because I loved them and the boys loved them too! Yikes, this could be an expensive habit!

My three-year-old and I are doing much better. We've been following the Paranil program and I haven't seen any evidence of parasites but it seems to be helping anyway. 3yo isn't waking at night as much anymore. A little bit, but it's not nearly as bad. I felt horrible the first three weeks of the program but I feel so much better now.

Aren't they FANTASTIC????? Worth every penny for grain free mamas!

How do you guys eat the noodles? I used one package and made an alfredo type of sauce and DH loathed it. I thought they were pretty good though. They are like shirataki noodles but I think the texture is slightly better.

Is the program more than just the supplements? It says not for nursing moms or children. Just wondering...I'm always interested in different ways of healing.

I prefer Asian food over Italian/Euro/American so I make a "Pad Thai" out of it or prepare it in a stir-fry (like Chow Mein). To me its more like rice noodle rather than wheat. I cant imagine preparing it like I would spaghetti.

how do you all incorperate bone broth. Not cooking rice in it and all.
soups and braised veggies would work. You could also use it to whip or mash potatoes.

Try the recipe for 'Coconut Broth' in EFLF. It's delicious and a very easy way to get in bone broths daily.

We had ours three ways: first I just ordered Thai food (spicy Chicken basil) from our favorite resteraunt and mixed the noodles right in. That was SO gratifying!!! then for the little boys, I fried it lightly with beaten eggs, making a sort pan fritatta. They loved that and ate tons of it. Then I also mixed the noodles in with my sauteed steak (didn't saute it) and that was really great too.

You're not supposed to do the Colonix program (what I'm doing when you're breastfeeding. I looked it over though, looked at the ingeredients, and I'm fine with it for our case. My nursling is 15 months old. I would definitely not do the Toxinout program when breastfeeding, though.

We usually just drink it mostly plain. This because everyone is so picky about what they like in soup! Last night we had some with parsley, garlic, and cubed chicken breast. Everyone said it was yummy and the boys went back for seconds.

bluets,
I just copied a recipe that was posted in the main N&GE forum last week. I didn't use the cornstarch (said it was optional), and used about 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 homemade yogurt (I didn't have enough sour cream; tomorrow or the next day, I am going to make it with all yogurt). I did add more honey than I wanted, because I forgot that cold honey is *very* hard to pour and measure, lol! So, when next I make it, I will probably make it less sweet. Oh, and I didn't measure the lemon juice, as I just used the juice from 1/2 a fresh lemon.

DH, who normally does not care for non-chocolate desserts, thought it was fantastic. I am guessing you could easily dress it up with some fresh berries or something, but I am low on that at the moment, so we just ate it plain.

Going off to try to find the recipe for you.

ok, here it is. post #5, by skystara (thank you, btw, it was very tasty!)
