Degrassi!

I've always loved Degrassi (both the original and the new one) and was randomly watching it this evening. The episode "Accidents Will Happen" came on and there's a scene where they're changing Spike's son Jack. And it's just for a second but it appears he's intact . I guess I shouldn't be surprised since it's a Canadian show but I was definitely shocked.

I am a little... the mid-'80s in Ontario. It's great they showed an intact male, probably by accident.

I *adore* Degrassi Junior High. Degrassi High was okay for the first couple of years, then they ran out of steam. The movie where they graduate capped off the entire series, and was well done.

I remember watching an episode of "Postive Parenting" on YTV in about 1989. Host Debrah Van Kiekabelt (sp?) did a segment w/ an infant massage therapist and a baby boy perhaps 9 months old. Sadly, he was circumcised and the segment lasted 5 or 6 minutes with a lot of close-ups. It's one of my earliest memories (I would have been 12 or 13 at the time) feeling that it was wrong looking at a circumcised boy. He was naked, but his penis looked so naked!

Absolutely agree. The only reason I had started watching the new one was because they had a uh...controversial episode that was not allowed to be shown in the US for almost 2 years. Not a bad show, they deal with all the stuff DJH did and more which is nice.
