chiros are very gentle with babies, yes

we took Felicity in a few days after she was born and he did slight adjustments on her after her whirlwind trip down the birth canal, and she was fine. Weve never used chiropractic as a family, and didnt use it to treat colic like some have done, but I would trust my chiro with my infant, yes.
Jackson is doing great. He is a long thin baby right now, and his legs are much shorter than his body. He is in 6-9 mo onesies, and his upper body fits into 6-9 month clothes better than his lower body.
He is very even tempered, tolerant, patient, loves to be swaddled and have a blanket and a paci to go to sleep. We discovered that he liked having something to hold while he sucked on his paci when he began holding our hand with both of his after we gave the paci. I have nursed all 3 of my other kids to sleep. But by just a few days old, it was clear to me that he did not wish to comfort nurse (my second oldest didnt either, she wanted to be held and cuddled, but didnt want the breast unless she was hungry).
He can kick himself around in a circle on the floor, and has rolled each way a few times but I think its more by accident. He loves to coo and talk to people, and has a great big smile that the women all swoon over.

I posted this on the email list, but Candy (candyapplez) came to NC to visit her sister last week, and she and I got together twice. She is really sweet, she gives great hugs, she is beautiful, giving, was so instinctive and helpful with my kids and her sisters kids both times we were together. I hope we get to spend time together again when she visits!
We were exposed to chicken pox about a week ago, so I am going to be trying to psyche myself up for dealing with that. My 2 yr old has a friend who was shedding it at homeschool co-op and at church in the 2 yr old class, so having been exposed twice in 3 days, I dont see how we are going to miss it. My family doctor said he doesnt anticipate any complications with Jackson, as he is totally breastfed and still small. He said the worst cases in small children he sees are formula fed infants under a year.
I am in the midst of trying to decide on homeschool curriculum for next year. I am trying to decide if I want to comtinue doing eclectic stuff, or get a boxed curriculum with pre-set lesson plans, or start my kids on the stuff that the private school near us uses. We will likely put the kids in private school at some point, and they use math and grammar that we can get ahold of for homeschooling.
Just wanted to check in. The kids are up now, so posting takes a back seat...
