what i've used, and it's AWESOME, is "nature's miracle". it's a non-toxic, enzyme cleaner that removes stains and order from everything to pet urine, food, vomit, blood, grease, dirt, etc. i spilled an ENTIRE gallon of milk in my van and it soaked into the carpet and literally smelled like VOMIT and someone suggested it and it worked amazingly well! so i always keep a bottle of it around the house.

i'd call your local pet store, or even walmart and ask if they carry it. i believe i purchased mine at petsmart.

it works great and it's totally worth a try before using bleach!

the only other product that i've heard works well for this kind of thing......and i've never used it myself as we have all hardwood floors.....is "spot shot".

here's their web page with all the info.....

it may be worth a try before bleach.....i HATE the fumes/smell of bleach.

I wouldn't use bleach, it could ruin your carpet. Been there....
