Eli James born January 28th, 2008 at 1:46 am. He weighed 8 pounds 8 ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long! Labor started at 3:00 pm on Sunday afternoon. We got the hospital around 11:00 pm. I was only dialated to a 2 but having contractions 8 minutes apart. The nurse said we would wait an hour and if things hadn't changed I would likely be sent home. Within not even an hour I dialated to 8 and contractions were much stronger. Dr broke my water to help me finish dialating. I started pushing around 1:15 am and by 1:46 am was holding my beautiful baby boy. A couple of times I was regretting my drug free labor. He's perfect, but I am biased. We came home on Wednesday and so far things are going good. Eli nurses great. We only had some problems yesterday when I was rather full. That has gotten better thanks to a couple good feeds and pumping out. Daddy can't stop saying how awesome he is and Kendall is being a great big sister too.
