while i'm a regular on MDC, i generally don't frequent this forum. But boy am i glad you are here when i need you!!

DS, 2.5 yo, woke this morning complaining that his penis hurt. upon visual inspection it did look a little swollen, and he cried when he peed. so after nursing him to help him calm down, and getting him some breakfast, i ran to the computer to see what i could find here in regards to information to see if i could ascertain what was up with my little guy.

and information i did find, taking me from a fretting mama to a relaxed and informed one.

so i just had to take a minute here to say thank you. i feel lucky to have such easy access to such concise and informative information! you all rock!

I thank Earth every day that my DS never had any problems as a tod (he's 20now) because there was no MDC then. Yeah, MDC ROCKS!

Me, too. Mothering magazine only came out 4 times a year back then, too. I shudder to think what would have happened if either of them had had any problems--they probably would have ended up circumcised. We just didn't have much information back then.
The good news, is, they are now grown men and still intact! I feel like they dodged a bullet.

There was once a sticky thread about exactly what you and your son was experinceing and it helped literally hundreds of mothers. MDC, in it's infinite wisdom removed that sticky and replaced it with one that is not helpful at all. Now mothers have to diligently search for this information contained within other threads that may be well off the first page of the forum. I'm glad you were able to find the information.

for anyone who might be reading this and trying to find the information, i found an awesome thread here: http://www.mothering.com/discussions...d.php?t=764732

it would be great if that were a sticky, though, definitely. i found it much more useful, and concise, than much of the information in the stickies.

Yes, I've said it before, and I'll say it again...

MCatLvrMom2A&X did a fabulous job compiling all the information in that thread, and it really needs to be stickied!!!
