Hancock's got fleece on sale- but is it any good for cd making?

I found this Northern Lights Electric Blue Solid Fleece Fabric on sale for $2.99 a yard, so I'm really hoping a mama on here has used it with good results.

Anyone use Northern Lights Fleece from Hancock Fabrics?

TIA!

I have not used it myself (no Hancock's nearby, we have Joann's), but I know of others who *have* used it and said it worked well. I think it is like what Joann's sells as "Blizzard" fleece, which is similar is thickness to Malden Mills 200wt. fleece.

The non-Malden Mills fleeces (pretty much anything available locally) tend to pill a little more, but you can reduce that greatly by washing the fleece covers separately from the absorbent diapers (the fleece will pick up cotton "fuzzies" and get pilly). At $2.99 a yard, I'd say get a little and see if it works for you!

I use the Anti-Pill Fireside fleece from Hancock's to make fleece soakers {covers} out of. It's about the same as 200 wt MM fleece. You may also be able to use it as an outer for an AIO.

If you use fleece for covers washing them with a little fabric softener on occassion can help with water resistence. But if you are using it as an AIO outer then ignore previous advice
