Has plastic gotten uglier? lol

Do any of you find that the new plastic toys are uglier than they used to be? I hate all the new plastic things on the market today, and won't bring them in my house... but I don't find the old/vintage stuff as ugly for some reason. I have some really cute old little tikes stuff and I just love all my MIL's old toys that she still has from DP. Is it that the plastics just got uglier or does plastic age like wine? lol. Maybe I should keep some of the really ugly plastic christmas gifts for another 20 years and see what I think of them then...

Anyway, do any of you have any really cute vintage plastic toys? I love them! And I have no problem buying plastic second hand.

I have a few of my old plastic toys (a ride-on horse, record player... some other random stuff), that I have to admit doesn't look that bad, and that DS probably will end up getting to play with. Nothing like the plastic junk in the stores these days, thats for sure! So, yeah, I agree... old plastic stuff is much better looking/more sturdy looking IMO than the stuff they have today! I think cause' even back then they made things to last - or at least, last more than 1 wk!!
