Postpartum Depression For Dummies

anyone read it?

It is so far the most thorough and easy to read/comprehend book on PPD I've come across. It really touches on details that other books gloss over.

Anyone else have a review of this book?

I am still in the beginning phase of recovery, and it was very helpful to me. I would couple it with the Mother-to-Mother PPD support book (personal stories) if I were to get only 2 books about PPD.

Yes, I have it, and I have spoken with the author. It's a great resource, and i highly recommend it, along with her other book, Beyond the Blues, which is more condensed.

Which one of her books do you like better?

i found this book really helpful in the beginning of my recovery. just being able to gauge where i was in the process, and where i was going was really comforting.
and i definitely like the Mother to Mother book. i've said it before, but i read and reread that book every day for a solid month. it helped reassure me more than anything else.

i read alot of PPD memoir-ish books as well. i think i read most of them. brooke sheilds' book, Inconsolible etc. but the best book from this genre for me was called "Hillbilly gothic." I found that i could identify so well with what this author went through. and it totally felt like a relief while i read it because i knew that i could stop reading PPD books after this one. because it spoke to me, and i finally understood that i wasn't alone.
