I'm looking for a pattern for socks that uses size 4, 5, or 6 dpns, for an adult. I can't seem to find much. The idea of making socks on 1-2's scares me!

More sock patterns than you can shake a stick at...using many different weights:

I made the Bear Toes slipper sock for my first sock. It was nice to make because it calls for 2 strands of worsted and they knit up quickly and I was able to easily understand the making of a sock. That said, I didn't care for the bulky feel and am now finishing my first real socks on tiny needles. But its a good learning sock that you can easily use stash yarn for. The pattern is:http://www.beartoes.com/patterns/tropicalpunch.html
