Breech to transverse--is that better?

Baby's been breech since at least 34w, possibly earlier too. I've been doing tons of things to get her to turn--chiropractic, acupuncture, moxa, tilts, inversions, playing music down there, etc.

Yesterday, it felt like I was getting kicks more in the middle of my belly instead of low. And I feel her head still in the same spot (my right side) but now there's another hard spot on my left side--I think it's her butt.

So is this an improvement? Is it better to be transverse than breech? And what other techniques are there for turning a transverse baby, if that's what she is right now?

I'm going into the MW tomorrow morning first thing to get the position checked, just to be sure I'm not crazy!

I'm hoping this is progress and not just another difficult positioning problem to have this late in the game (I'm 36w5d)...

Hopefully she's just on her way to vertex, but transverse is worse than breech in that you can't vaginally birth a transverse baby but you can a breech.

I would bet she's on her way to turning head down. This would be a great time to have a few more chiro adjustments to make sure your pelvis is nice and open for her to settle into vertex.

I'd say it is an improvement, because it means that she is able to turn around (i.e, she still can squeeze through) if she is transverse. I would try to locate her head and try the ice pack trick. Basically, try some of the positions that are recommended for turning and then place an ice pack on the spot where her head is. Baby's usually instinctively will move away from the cold area and hopefully will go the right way! Good luck with getting your babe to turn!
