Kombucha, fermented veggies and yeast allergy

We just found out that dd is allergic to yeast (brewers and bakers). Does anybody know if that means no kombucha or fermented veggies either? She is also allergic to milk and we have not been able to get water keifer, so these are the only probiotic food options we have now.

Depending on why she is allergic to yeast, you would do best to avoid all fermented foods. Some people allergic to yeast are allergic to the alcohol production by yeast created during fermentation. Both kombucha and sauerkraut will contain traces of alcohol created during fermentation and can cause your DD to react, depending on the severity of her allergy.

I would avoid all fermented foods for now and slowly add in condiment amounts after you're sure DD is not reacting to her food. Food allergies as with all allergies, tend to be cumulative, meaning your body can usually tolerate so much, but spills over with symptoms when it reaches a certain threshold.

If your doctor has not already recommended it, you should look into yeast allergies and carbohydrates. Usually, it's recommended that you limit carbs as they can exacerbate yeast allergies.
