So I am not a tidy person and neither is dp, we are close to not even being clean.

When you get any cleaning done what is the most important spaces for you and why?

And do you have any secret tricks/ products to getting things cleanier faster/ easier?

I'm like you. We're not particularly tidy people, so stuff tends to pile up quickly. I do try to keep the kitchen clean every day, though, because I can't stand to see dirty dishes lying around too long.

My trick for keeping a clean house? Have someone over at least once a week... that forces me to clean most of the house because I'd be too embarrassed otherwise!

I can't function when things are a total mess In the morning, after I shower & get myself & DS dressed, I do a quick run-through of the house - make the bed, clean up from breakfast, open all the blinds & put away anything that's "laying around". It really helps me feel better about starting the day. I don't do heavy cleaning as often as I should, but I'm ok with that. *shrug*

It helps that our house is small, so too much clutter makes me feel icky and like I'm suffocating!

I feel like I am always tidy-ing up and that things are never clean :
I focus my cleaning on the family room, as that's where DS and I hang out most days. I also clean the kitchen throughout the day after I feed him, or us. I have a cat and her hair is everywhere, it is driving me batty.

I worry about the kitchen, the living room, and the family room, since those are the places we spend the most time in, and also because of food mess bringing bugs. I'm less meticulous about the bathroom, although it's not half bad. It's our bedrooms that are always a mess.

The kitchen, bathroom, and family/living room are the most important to me to keep clean. I clean the bathroom completely once a week, pick up DS' toys in the living room every night, and try to keep dirty dishes to a minimum. But things are never totally clean, or tidy here.

I voted kitchen AND the living room! If these two spaces are clean, then I am a partially sane momma!

Dirty bathrooms gross me out. I keep the cleaning supplies under the bathroom sink. Having the stuff handy makes it easier for me to spend the 5 minutes it takes to wipe down the sink and toilet.

I clean all the bathrooms every third day or so.
The kitchen is cleaned several times a day.
The rest of the house is fully cleaned everyday.

My hubby and I just can't relax if our house is messy. When I was a kid my mom was a slob, our house was a total disaster all the time. I was embarassed to have friends over. I swore my house would never be messy, and it rarely is.

I said kitchens, bathrooms and "other".

It is important for my kitchen and bathroom to be clean, as in not yuck and grody. It is important for the rest of the house to be picked up, somewhat clutter free and organized. I can live w/ a little dust bunny here and there, though.

I voted for kitchen and dining room, b/c food mess atracts vermin. I also voted for outside/porch, b/c it decreases home values and can atract vandels if it's a mess.

kitchen and bathroom

I clean the kitchen/eating area everyday (wipe down, sweep, dishes) but mop once a week.
The bathroom sink is cleaned everyday but the the rest (mop, tub, toilet, mirror ect.) is weekly too and not cleaned on the same day either.
The rest of the house is on a schedule but isn't as important. I just make sure the living areas are picked up before I go to bed and that suits us fine.

I can not stand a dirty bathroom or kitchen.

the rest of my house can be a total disaster area (and usually are a total disaster) but it grosses me out when the kitchen and bathroom aren't taken care of.

I like a clean bathroom, I have two boys and on hubby so I spend time every day to at least wipe up the pee spots. I deep clean the bathroom at least 2 times a week. The rest of my house is a mess though

Daily clean up is the living room and kitchen. The living room area is also the computer area, TV room and toy room for the little ones, so it gets messy quickly with basically everyone in it all day long. The kitchen is also the dining room, same story with so many people. It's a constant process to keep the mess manageable.

the kitchen and the living area are our two most important areas to keep clean - because they are used the most throughout the day. after that, i get to our bedroom if possible and everything comes after.
