bumper sticker attention

we went out to dinner and there was a 45 min wait. ds is 15 mos and couldn't handle being in the restaurant waiting area so we went out to sit in the car, play etc. we have tinted rear windows so i guess no one could tell we were in there. i have my anti circ sticker on the back and every person who passed looked and had a reaction. some just looked like they felt awkward (especially dads/sons), but several obviously started discussing it with their companions. one couple stood there for quite a while looking at it and talking. dh and i started anticipating people's reactions and it was almost comical. bottom line, people were noticing, talking about it and maybe will go home, look it up and learn why we're against it!

we're planting seeds!

Thats awesome! What did the bumper sticker say?

it says:
circumcision: the more you know, the more you're against it

I get reactions to mine almost daily, I love it. Today 3 people were walking their dog and peered. I just moved into a huge apartment complex so I expect a lot of that.

That is awesome! Where did you get it? Cool, it's not confrontational, but it gets the point across.

Thats a good one! Mine says
The foreskin is NOT a birth defect

Just a random thought but if you have a bumper sticker it might be interesting to tape a 'take-one' folder with NOCIRC pamphlets on the back window when you know you'll be gone a while. Like at the mall or restaurants; in this case it would have been interesting to see who took one.

haha my sister joked i should get one of those coupon dispensers you see at grocery stores and mount it on my car. i am working on a little handout i can give out in case anyone ever asks me about it directly.

the sticker was from cafepress.com. it's maroon with aqua letters, very sharp.

As you can see, I get a lot of questions. I'd love to have a coupon printer of info mounted on my car.

Interesting! I have signs on the insides of my side windows. One is "it's whack to hack, leave your baby boys intact!" and the other is "foreskin is NOT a birth defect" and both have nocirc.org on them. Unfortunately, I don't think people see them as well, at least when the car is moving. And I have a 2 door so putting them in my back window won't help, it's too slanted.

But I figured it will make someone, somewhere, at least stop and think about it. The more people "thinking" about it, the more the word will get out that it is so unnecessary!

I have thought about doing this before too.

That's great!
I made my own bumper sticker and put it on the car my parents let me borrow, but unfortunately they had me take it off because they say they never put any stickers on their cars. I was happy people got to see it for one day at least.
I would be happy to give the file to anyone who wants it. Just send me a message and I'll email it to you.

I'm 19, circumcised, and seeking justice.

mine says "circumcision the more you know the worse it gets" but the circumcision part is bright red, and bigger, and the rest is smaller and black. It keeps fading. I need to get new ones. I really liked the company I ordered them from, but they just didn't seem to stand up to the salt in MN winters.

jimmers- you could always get them made into bumper magnets, then only put them on while you are borrowing the car and take them off when you bring it back.

That's a really good idea dnr3301!
I would have to make it from scratch, but that's a nice way of getting around it.

Here is the pic if anyone wants it:

You can get sheets of magnetic stuff that will do about 3 stickers at Dollar Tree.

You all were talking about little coupon printers or a "take one" folder, and it made me think about a little outdoor pamphlet holder like what realestate companies use to hold outdoor property information in the yards of homes for sale. You could easily put a sign in your yard, too; people put political ones up all the time.

I am really proud of myself. I finally got the guts to put a sticker on my car. I put the '100% percent of babies oppose circumcision' sticker on my car. My DH, who agrees with me completely on this issue wasn't thrilled since he thinks we shouldn't put stickers on the car, but oh well. I do worry about work though since I am in a management position and it would be better to be seen as neutral, but to hell with it! People would already know how I feel about this from a few situations that have come up.

So yeah I am the beetle in N. Houston with the greyhound and the anti-circ sticker if you see me

I know what you mean about being concerned about work, FG. I am a massage therapist who does outcalls occasionally. That means my car is parked outside my client's homes, offices, etc. No one has said anything so far though.

I wanted to add that DH was driving my car the other day, and recieved many "Huh?" looks from other drivers!

: I am as well, and I do mainly outcalls & am branching into corporate massage as my main source of income. I've decided to buy the stickers I want and put magnetic backing on them.
