Daily Check-in~Feb 4th!! - Page 3

Greenrose, that is sounding promising! Labor typically kicks in within about 24 with the presense of bloody show! (That said I had some Sat and I'm still pregnant......) You'll know when to call when your contractions are coming regularly and getting stronger, longer, and closer. Unless they want a heads up call usually providers like to know when things are 5 min apart and 1 min long. Just go with how you feel as that is typically the best indicator of labor progression. You know all this with all your classes! Good luck!!!

Teeny, I was thinking the same thing about Flapjack's theory!

Nymph-I agree the hormones can be terrible but there are moments where it's just fun to go with it! I think seeing my DH jump around looking for poop on his shoe would send me into laughter as well!

Happy Birthday Playamama!!! I'm blank on boy names too. DH has one I'd consider but I feel like I need to meet this kid before I can confidently give it a name. We do have girls names down to 2 though but I've told DH I don't want to be locked into anything so it's all up in the air!

37w1d here and all is well. My ankles are hideous by the end of each day but seem normal by morning. It's my last week of work, which is both exciting and scary. I'm not sleeping that well and I wake up really sore each morning. But almost all of my car accident bruises are gone, so that's nice.

My MIL came over yesterday. It was pretty stressful but she only made a few inappropriate comments, so I should be thankful for small favors.

38w5d ... still here, still pregnant, still tired.

I'm here too. Still 37 weeks... I'm not so into counting days. But I would love to have my regular feet and ankles back. Has anyone seen them? Mine are in a perpetual state of swollenness that never seems to go away. I swear, one night someone switched out my lower legs and gave me feet that hurt to walk on first thing in the morning and knees of a 90 y/o woman with arthritis. I think they also gave me the old ladys hands cuz my fingers are so swollen in the morning that I can barely grip anything. <sigh>

So, DP is finally back. At this point we are just taking it easy and not discussing things too much. I don't want to at this point. I would rather us have time to be together as just us for the last few weeks, and hoping that time will offer him new perspective. And he's not feeling well. Poor thing has had stomach flu.

Congrats Teeny on the nephew! Take care all you mommas.

Happy Birthday Playamama!

I just made the realization the other day that this baby REALLY knew when the best to be conceived would be. Right when we made the baby we had decided to wait til feb 2008 to start trying again IF we weren't pregnant. But I just realized if we had gone with that plan that we would have had soooo many reasons to not get pregnant now, with dh having issues with his job and we might be moving across states. And if we had moved we MIGHT not have had a homebirth or it would have taken alot more effort of persuasion to convince dh to go along, since we would be moving to a state where homebirth is illegal. So this baby KNEW it was time, and I am so thankful now and have come to terms to this baby being born now. I don't know if this is making any sense but it just seems like one of those examples that things do happen for a reason, and this baby was meant to happen when it did. Anyway, it feels so much better to be at peace with having a baby now, ykwim?

Anyway, not a whole lot labor-wise going on, will it ever? Been having contractions since Friday but it doesn't feel real...

I am 37 weeks and finally got tons of sleep this weekend. I think my body is finally realizing that it cannot function on 3 hours total a night.

. I don't really have a gut feeling of how close I am, but, when I am having a lot of cervical pressure and bh's, it literally feels like if I just sat on the toilet, relaxed, and pushed, the baby would just drop out!!!
Yes, I totally have this feeling, and my MWs say baby is really, really low. I never had it last time either, but I was at -2 with that baby about 24 hours in, so...

: Playamama!

Peace laughing, I am glad your DP is back and you are taking it easy together...I hope the best for you both!

Teeny congrats on the new nephew!

I am just hanging out...40+2, but who is counting! I went to my exerise class this morning. I love to go and feel so good when I am done, but I have to admit I also totally love freaking out the instructor! She is so nervous with me in the class, it is really funny!

I have been doing lots of nesting things....made chocolate chip cookies today (thanks to some of you who discussed eating them during the game last night! I got a real craving for them!)

It seems I always have a daily reason why it is not a good day to go into labor. Tomorrow is super Tuesday so I must go out to vote! What excuse can I come up with for Wed.?!?

Teeny and Mom2-3, thanks for the well wishes. I'm just staying positive in my outlook with him. I also hope that the stomach flu that he came home with ends with him. I don't think I could handle vomiting at this point in my pregnancy. Ugh, what a horrible thought.

Its a little disappointing though, he's been gone since 12-30 and I had to wait nearly 5 weeks to see him and now in someways it's like he's still not back because he is spending all his time in bed, poor thing.

3 days until my edd...had a midwife appointment today and baby is FINALLY in a good position!!! My midwife and I are both hoping I go into labor sometime this week and she sent me home with orders for dh to "help me/baby out" tonight! Now we'll see if all four kids will stay asleep so we can follow midwife's orders! I don't think it will be in the next few days, though - most likely this weekend or after.
