Wool interlock baby blanket?

Thread Starter
I bought some lovely wool interlock to make a baby blanket, but now I'm not sure how to do it. I don't have a serger, and I think turning and topstitching will make a bulky edge. I was thinking either felting it and blanket stitching the edges, or putting baby's name on it, then blanket stitching 2 layers. Any suggestions? I'd love it if it were really quick, too, since the baby was born yesterday and dh and visiting him tomorrow.

Does your machine have an overlock stitch? Check your manual, if you have one. Or you could try a zigzag stitch with a wide width and short stitch length. If it's interlock (a double knit) and not jersey it should be less likely to fray anyway.

I would blanket stitch the end with a complementary color, I love the way that looks
