Attn Italianwishes!!

Can I get some advice?

I bleached my hair in october. It looked great and I loved it but it was for a special trip and it's too much to maintain and was hard on my hair. So about a month ago I tried using a box neutral light blonde to cover and darken everything enough that I could stop coloring it. It didn't take on the bleached hair and only changed the color of my roots to just slightly golden blonde.

Soooo I need to know either what I can do at home to basically dye it back to my natural color so that I can leave it alone for the rest of my pregnancy or need to know what to ask for at the salon. I'm naturally a dark ash blonde and I like the ash tones best. It's pretty long right now, about to my bra strap and I just had it trimmed a few weeks ago.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!!

I would recommend a demi permanent or a semi permanent color. Permanent color just does not work well on bleached hair because of the high amount of ammonia in it. If you go to the salon ask for a demi permanent, it will last longer. If you do it at home, use a semi permanent color as needed. Also, demi color is more ash. Hope this helps, feel free to ask any more questions.

Oh thank you!!!! One more thing... since I have 2 different colors, do I apply color to the roots first, bottom first or the whole thing?

Since your natural hair color is so light, I think you could apply to the whole strand. Semi colors tend to run darker, so start off with a light shade just to be safe. There is no ammonia in it, so it will not damage your hair. Also, it will not lighten your hair if you get to light of a shade. If you are nervous, do a strand test just to be safe!

Ah ok. Yeah, the roots or darker than the rest still and a golden tone while the rest is still a pretty pale platinum with some brassiness to it now. Sounds beautiful eh?
