I'm telling my mom about the pregnancy tomorrow *update post #12*

I am flying alone with my kids tomorrow to visit my mom. Since I'm seeing her in person I have been waiting to tell her. But the thing is that I thought I'd be around 12 weeks but since then have found out that I'm a month further so I'll be saying, "Hi mom, guess what?! I'm 4 months pregnant!" I hope she isn't upset that I waited so long to tell her.

Say a prayer for a safe and happy flight for us!

Safe & Happy flight!

I think I'd be sure to tell her you thought you were 12 weeks, but just got a surprise that you're actually 16!

Hopefully your intention of wanting to tell her in person will make her happy! Good luck and have a good visit!

Are you showing? Is it going to take any words to tell her?

Have a great flight!

I have an idea. Have your kids make her a card saying congratulations Granny, we are giving you a huge surprise, another grandchild and make it really big like no Mom's not getting fat but ....And if she says why didn't you already tell me then tell her we wanted to tell you in person to see how happy you was. I couldn't wait to see your face. Plus if they are telling her then not problem, grandkids never do anything wrong. So what if its a tad later than you might have wanted.

We just told my family on Sunday and I was 17weeks . I'm showing, but not a lot. I'm still in normal clothes and can hide it pretty well. We just hadn't seen them in person and together in a long time, so we waited!

Good luck and have fun!

Megan, How did it go?

How did you tell her? Or did she just notice/know?

I really don't have the energy to type it all out so you can read it here instead

No wonder you didn't want to type it out. You poor thing! (And your poor little ones!)

I'm sorry for the baggage trauma adding insult to injury.

Hoping things get better really, really soon and that you escape unscathed.

Poor mama. I hope your dc are feeling better, and that all your things make it safely home as well.
